eBay Headaches

I listed my batman fortnites since they FINALLY came in from tfaw. Why is it asking for so much on item specifics. Like grade, ungraded, grading company, artist, writer, year. Etc. Also filled out as much as I could but so far from this afternoon it has 2 views

eBay has way too many subcategories it wants filled-out usually.

Some good news
eBay support on Twitter was more helpful and can actually help me with the ASM because I purchased it more than 30 days before the release date that the seller had in the listing. They confirmed that this listing violated their presale policy and so they will be reviewing the case as the violation means I’m still eligible for the money back guarantee.

For the Venom Alien Variant - I bought it 2 days after the drop date so I’m SOL
and missed the chase chargeback dispute window by 3 days :sob:

Ebay just ■■■■■■ everything up.
They changed all of our (thats you and I) listings to comics & graphic novels.
They eliminated the ERA portion of the listing.

I really dislike the new format wanting you to put a grade (as subjective as that is) for the listing.

Try calling them and reporting it. Not that they’ll do a thing about sellers selling preorders further out than 30 days. Less money for them.

Perhaps the Better Business Bureau report?

I noticed the categories are all jacked up as well earlier today
figured it might of been some glitch or something.

When I click “character”, a drop down of hundreds of characters shows up. Its quite ridiculous vs the previous way to select them.

Not sure if it’s worth it. Now if they were selling their presale slabs under the Ashevillie Comics name, then maybe, but it’s under hotshot comics which is more like a spin-off and who knows what all sorts of technicalities come with that.

It’s all good. I’ll be glad to just move beyond this and never have to deal with them again
I’m certain that I’m not going to be the last person to have such a negative experience with the seller/store.

Also, the last negative feedback the buyer received on eBay is perfect and clearly outlines the way in which the seller games the system along with the risks buyers take when buying from this store.

It looks like eBay totally changed the category setup for selling comics now. FUUUUDDDGEEEE!

lol yeah buddy, its a mess! I just got an email that they are doing away with the “Powerseller” program, and only going to have “Top Rated Seller”, not sure what that means as far as benefits are concerned.

The new format for listings just gives you more options for entering specific details about what you’re selling but people resist change and everyone has different opinions. I noticed the change when I was editing a listing and saw the category changed and then saw all the other changes as I scrolled through. I spent about 30 seconds looking it all over and entering the info I wanted and went on about my day. Wasn’t really a big deal to me

I do everything through Shopify, so I’m not sure the difference between making a listing on ebay directly vs that, but the select character list was not fun to navigate. Everything else was straightforward.

The book was The Last Ronin #1. Good thing he acted before the buyer protection expired because he wasn’t getting that book lol.

My main issue is that my hundreds of saved searches are now showing every single age. Which means unless I want to pour through all those different ages I’ve got to change all my saved searches. At every step eBay is doing their very best to turn long time buyers and sellers away.

Well, their change screwed up an eBay link I did on the forums. Originally I noticed there was hundreds listed but later on when I clicked to review again, there was like 5. So yeah
eBay didn’t think this through apparently
they’re gonna mess with a lot of existing links out there and it’s on them for losing potential sales when they cut the product listings from hundreds to just a few

Have I mentioned how happy I am at Mercari now? Ya’ll keep playing with eBay though

I use Inkfrog, can’t wait to see the mess eBay has caused with that app.

By all means, every single one of you leave eBay and go to Mercari. That just means more for me lol I will double up and sell on both eventually. I actually have a few listings on mercari but even something simple like the character count for a title on there is sad as can be and you barely have the ability to describe anything with just 40 characters. eBay > Mercari easily
