I’ve dealt with this buyer, also, my friend!

I do admit I like his tenacity. He had previously offered $50 saying he would pay right away. I am going to try that tactic on other books I am looking for. “Hello my friend you have this Amazing Fantasy 15 listed at $8000. I will give you a dollar but will pay right away.”

Omg, I burst out laughing and then had to explain to my wife why…and then I felt stupid….

Well, you will get more sales open with “my friend” than “hey sucka…”

I respond best to ebay inquiries and best offers that begin with “hey @sshole …”

Its refreshing alternative to dear friend, or kind sir that never end well for me

Won 14 auctions for various cards, total cost $22. The shipping for each card is $2…so currently its showing up as $28 to ship in my cart for what should be leas than 6oz total.

I requested a combined shipping quote a few times already, and said I prefer ground advantage (because they’ll just get lost if shipped in an envelope….especially this time of year.

Crickets from the seller…meanwhile eBay keeps reminding me to pay…

It’s like, come on dude, I’m not paying $28 to ship cheap cards…

I’m curious what happens to my account if I have14 consecutive Did Not Pays…

Not sure anything. Don’t know why people refuse to do combined shipping. I bet if you paid he would ship in one envelope and keep the difference.

100%.

The person listed numerous cards starting at a $1, all ending within a few minutes of each other…so obviously one should expect it highly likely many would be bought by one person.

In my cart It gives me the option of requesting and invoice for combined shipping. So I’m just going to keep hitting that button every time eBay sends me a reminder to pay…I get 14 of them each day.

Emailed him saying I’ve been sending him requests for an invoice…got this back.

Does this make any sense? Why would ebay give me the option to request an invoice if he cannot combine orders…?

Came back with an invoice…$15 to ship ground advantage coast to coast.

If I shipped a comic of 1 lbs the other way eBay would charge me $7.45. But when I go to USPS.com for a quote it’s $13.45.

Part of me wants to argue it…but I also presume he’s using eBay or USPS to estimate and maybe shipping them in top loaders or something…so just paying it and seeing what I get…should be interesting.

I would have told him that’s fine and that you expect every item shipped individually since that’s what you’re paying for.

That’s the way I would have went. Paid the extra and if he ships all together do a dispute with eBay about how I paid for individual shipping but got them all together.

And if he combined them all into one package, that’s when you call him out with eBay claiming you paid for X amount of shipping packages but only got one and use his own words against him. If you claim you don’t combine shipping to save the buyer costs but then combine them… then you just lied!

Great minds think alike…

I still don’t get why some sellers refuse combined shipping, especially for comics, magazines etc. If one person is buying x amount of items common sense would say pack em all together cause it’s more convenient for the buyer and also the seller since I’d rather put 6 orders in one box than 6 separate  The extra few bucks I’m gonna get from trying to screw a buyer on shipping isn’t gonna be worth the work and waste of packing materials etc, esp not after eBay fees haha.

Most refuse cause they want to pocket the extra :moneybag: and they still combine into one package… and there’s a lot of people who just simply don’t pay attention and end up costing them more.

I point out in my listings that I offer combined shipping and buyers still complete check out for books individually. I’ve proactively given 2 separate refunds for excess shipping over the past 2 weeks. I don’t mind having to do that, I just hoped buyers would note the combined shipping as an incentive to buy more stuff.
