eBay issues

I agree with @Awakeintheashes for your question, @UGADavid. If they want to cancel and you don’t allow it, they will simply find another way to give you a headache, whether claiming the item didn’t arrive or was damaged.

Yup trust me you do not want to deal with them if they are doing this. Count it as a blessing.

It is a good thing for Ebay to make it at least a little more difficult for buyers who are only marginally on the fence about cancelling a win, I suppose. That button “Cancel Order” makes it way way too easy.

That said, any email to me requesting cancellation will ultimately be accepted. Yes, I’ll likely give them a hard time and likely block them as is currently the actions I take now. However, I cannot and will not deal with the problems post-shipping a book against a buyers will if they no longer want the book. I can see them spitefully destroying my comic and requesting return for damages and/or losses in return shipping for the item they made clear via ebay email that they didn’t want. Or other hardships I probably can’t even think of. I just don’t want to deal with that even if I may end up winning a case.

So for me, it seems slightly better, perhaps, for the lazy ones on the fence with buyers remorse.
But a definite “We’ll see” due to the increased ramifications of denying an email request for the seller to cancel the order.

All that I’m saying is that, people will think twice before bidding on an item.

If you cannot afford it, don’t bid on it.

I don’t think you’ll be able to accept the request…it’ll just be a message…so the seller will have to initiate the cancellation going forward. Which ends up being a categorized a defect on your account. If you’re a low volume sales then it knelt two requests in a month can get you categorized as a below acceptable standard. Two consecutive months eBay may restrict your sales.

So I don’t think this is a good thing for sellers if eBay isn’t going to offer a “buyer requested cancellation” option for sellers to cancel.

Not happy with this.

This is for auctions only, right? I kind of skimmed and moved on since I only sell via BIN.

Guy buys a comic and I get this message after he bought the comic…

Can I have more pictures and a video, boss man? Thanks

“Sorry, package is on the way. The boss man says, snap a few pics and videos once it arrives!”

Yikes. Not only annoying but you want to do so just to CYA in case he finds “problems” upon receipt.

As a seller I should be able to cancel the sale since the buyer changed the conditions after the purchase. I sent a message back saying you already bought this, what pictures do you need, its a brand new comic.
