that’s what was so infuriating… I mean, he sends a copy showing the Gemini mailer and you can see the bubble wrap underneath it too…
Won an ebay auction from kzoo-79-collectibles. Came in an envelope with really flimsy cardboard. Wasn’t even taped down and no board just in a bag
Oof, that’s bad.
Close to 25 years for Ebay and STILL people just don’t get how to send comics; let alone anything of a delicate nature in the mail.
It’s truly amazing
I don’t think it’s a matter of, “don’t know how”, more of… “they just don’t care…”
Probably just a lot of Peter Gibbons selling on eBay…

Bids on my item.
Wins my item.
I politely ask if he intends on completing purchase after many days.
And then I get an accusation about my item.
(Note: I am quite quite close to the artist who signed the comic; so this really rubbed me the wrong way and got a bit pissy in my response)
99% of my ebay listings are BIN, but I do an auction from time to time. If you win an auction and then immediately ask to cancel the order, you are banned.

Just got an email from used thenortherncollector trying to get a refund and a return on a book that hasn’t even gotten to him.
His message: New message from: thenortherncollector (694)
This copy you sent is not the same as the one in the picture in the auction. Maybe a stock photo was used, or the wrong book was mistakenly put into my order. This copy has a blue sun faded edge and I would like a refund. I will send the book back to you as soon as I see the money back in my PayPal account.
If everything goes smooth I am happy to leave glowing feedback. Thanks
My response: That may be a copy you got from someone else. I just packaged your copy last night and dropped it off at the post office this afternoon. Your copy hasn’t even arrived to you yet.
His reply:Ok I messed up. Your book hasn’t even arrived yet. I’m sorry for the confusion, and please disregard.
Happy Holidays
Scam avoided??
I wouldn’t think it was a potential scam. Sounds legit. Why would anyone try to get a refund on a book that hasn’t even shipped yet claiming it’s not the book… Unless they were truly that ignorant.
hopefully a mistake from him ordering from multiple people. I have seen people try to return a banged up book and keep a mint one though.
The book had marked shipped because I printed the shipping label from ebay. I can see some larger sellers just refunding the money and not even checking the tracking.
Seems like an “honest” mistake, but if I intended to get my item back, I would never agree to refund money up front. Doesn’t even work that way with ebay returns.
Yup, gotta actually ship the item for them to return the item…
Had something like this to me a few months ago. The buyer - a month after he received the book, asked for a refund, because the book was damaged. The pics he sent of the book AND more importantly the wrapping were clearly not mine, the sellers address was visible. My funds were held up though. Communicated this to the buyer and he cancelled the request. NO APOLOGY !
Debated whether to share here but gave him the benefit of the doubt. BUT I blocked him, because he should have been able to verify this himself.
I’ve actually had this happen to me multiple times where the buyer has bought up a bunch of copies, then forgets which box they are opening when they receive a damaged one. All the ones I’ve encountered have been honest mistakes and the person was nice and apologized.
If they are rude enough to not apologize I’d like the name and block them on that alone.
PM’ed you.
harshl80 , made an offer, I accepted the offer and then they didn’t pay for 3 days, cancelled the order and had to relist.

I bought an Avengers Arena set which was canceled by the seller and given the reason that I requested to cancel. So not only can they not honor the purchase they also lie about the cancel reason so it doesn’t effect their eBay account. Literal POS.
I’m just waiting for CHU user to get named on this list. That will be fun. I’ll bring popcorn.
I hope it won’t be me!
