Guy is either a whacko or trying to be funny.
I think it’s the latter…
If she’s calling your collection “clutter” you should sell the wife and keep the comics ![]()
Funny, I added that same listing to my wish list so I could look into it in more detail when I had the chance. Guess I missed out
Here is a Mercari weirdo. Not sure why people think being annoyingly douchie is going to help them buy something
Listed for $22 guy originally offers $16. I tell him I have sold multiple for $19.99 on eBay and that is the lowest I am willing to go. So he offers $18. I counter with $19.99 telling him that’s the lowest I am willing to go.
He send back another $18 offer and lol. I declined.
Just blocked him and moved on. Not in the mood to deal with douchebags tonight.
Surprised it took you that many exchanges to block. After the second $18 he would be dead to me.
Can never figure out how one goes about being a complete idiot on purpose. Accidently, sure, been there done that, but on 100% purpose? You just know he wouldn’t do that if he was dealing with you at a live show.

I had just listed a really huge lot of comics. It was an opening bid of $99.99 or buy it now of $249.99, which I think was way too low but I just want to get rid of stuff. Then I get a message about 10 minutes after it has been listed from this “person” asking if I would take a buy it now for $80. WHAT??? I said no, went to sleep and when I woke up it was sold. Just shipped it and just blocked them.
When I see a Best Offer on a live auction, I just assume they are looking for an offer between the min bid price and BIN price to force it to end early.
I think once I tried offering below the min bid price when it was clearly more than FMV…and got berated by the seller so never bothered again…that was very early on when the option was first introduced and I didn’t know better.
If people were open to lower than the min bid, then why not start the min bid at that price? But low ballers gonna low ball.
What a moron. I got people super low balling at the flea market I did not long ago. Will you take $20 a box? (Short box of 150 comics I was selling for $2 each)
If you don’t ask you don’t get…but some take it to an extreme beyond social norms.
Guy offered me $20 for a tote of crap comics I got when I purchased a $50 facebook market place lot. I sold a bunch of uncanny x-men keys and kept some run fillers. The rest were junk. I was happy to take $20 for them. Icing on the cake. And to be honest if he hadn’t asked it wouldn’t have happened. But to lowball $20 a short box filled. No.
This is an easy way to get yourself blocked by me. The books already listed at about half the price of what they’ve sold for. Then you’re going to tell me it’s not better than a 9.6!? It’s the best looking copy I’ve seen and I’ve seen dozens of copies.
Some random dude grading from his chair while staring into a screen and trying to determine a grade differential of 0.2; is like some random dude playing NFL football from his chair while watching the NFL on TV.
What a d*&k. Good move with the block.
If it was CGC in the Bend Gate era…I’d say there’s a chance they’re right.
But CBCS…especially the older labels before PSA took their best graders…no way.
Guy just wants to put this in a CGC slab and flip it for as big a profit as they can. Block’em.
So buyer requests invoice. I send invoice with shipping discounted. Buyer pays. Then a few hours later requests to cancel.
Reason: Wrong Payment Information.
I didn’t realize that was an option to cancel an order…
So i approve it thinking they just used the wrong funding source…and maybe would buy again.
24 hrs later they are still for sale…
That’s the old “I didn’t use the card my wife isn’t supposed to know about” and he isn’t buying again because his wife yelled at him for his online comic addiction.
Or he realized if he spent $45 on a comic, he might have to forgo eating next week cause he’s probably broke and spending way too much money on things he doesn’t actually need…
