I was borderline angry with how it ended. The first couple issues were solid, but the ending was kinda terrible. I flipped that last page and thought, “That’s it?!? That’s what this led up to?!?!” Great art, great concept, great characters. Awful ending. Makes me think the writers had this as a 10 issue story, and the publisher told them to make it 5.

100% agree, issue 5 was suddenly upbeat in comparison to prior and ending seemed sudden and things were wrapped up too neatly. Up until the 5th issue I thought it was better than We Live, can’t find anything so far to indicate a future for Eve.

I am really pleased about this. The first series was great and seemed to end rather abruptly. Looking forward to this next chapter : )

I went from absolutely loving We Live to contemplating cancelling my pull for the new series after 3 issues. It’s kinda train wreck level bad.

I’m in the same place with it. I’ll keep getting it but I’m definitely not as excited about AOP as I was with the original series. Kind of misses the point of what made the first series so fantastic imo.

I dropped it after the 1st issue. Loved the first series but did not care for the direction of the 2nd series.

I keep hoping they will bring it back together. It’s funny, I hated issue 5 of Eve, but hoped it returned. I loved We Live, and now I’m just like ugggh why did it return…

I feel like Twig could end up like Eve - rushed through a 5 issue story and will need to come back for more. There is so much meat left on the bone for both of them.

Glad to see that somebody is working on Eve - but pretty much every half-way reasonable property gets optioned, one way or another. Some deals are confidential, some aren’t, some are made public at a later date when it suits one or more of the parties…
