Facsimiles - What Would You Like to See Reprinted?

The first volume of the Incredible Hulk is only six issues. It would be pretty cool if they released #1 through #6 a week apart.

Did you guys know Incredible Hulk #181 already had a facsimile edition in 2019 ?

Did you also know that there was a 2nd print of it 4 months later ?

Hard to tell them apart ? You aint kidding. But just check the barcode:

1st print:

2nd print:

The 2nd print is incredibly hard to find on Ebay. And even if a seller has it, they dont label it as a 2nd print.

is reprint of a reprint of a facsimile still a reprint ?

Wasn’t there also a more recent version? Unless I’m mistaken

I would like to see 1940’s Captain AMerica #3 reprinted as a foil facsimile. Maybe during Stan Lee’s birthday month or something. Seeing that it is his first comic writing job I think it would sell well.

It’ll be interesting to see what the bar code is for this latest reprint. it wouldn’t surprise me if marvel lost count, as it’s calling this a “new printing”.

I am a big fan of collecting True Believers and Reprints.

The story I really would love to see reprinted is Doctor Strange and Doctor Doom: Triumph and Torment by Roger Stern and Mike Mignola

A classic that explores some of Dr. Dooms origins and the lengths he will go to gain conquest… If you haven’t read it, I suggest it.

Also Doom without Armor (named Doom I believe) had been difficult to find as well. I love how he kills a Lion barehanded.

Also BATMAN 227 facsimile would be AWESOME!

Anything that hasn’t been reprinted before 5x already.
Seriously

We’ve got a Werewolf by Night 32 one and a 33 was announced. Clearly, 37 needs to happen as well.

Girasol (I think they’re defunct now) used to create exact facsimiles of the old pulps from the 20’s and 30’s. They were expensive reproductions but were so incredibly cool.

I bought a few but the one I remember most and read was the 1st story ever of Conan the Barbarian by Robert E. Howard in Weird Tales.
Now THATS a cool facsimile.

1st Tarzan story ever - reprinted facsimile with the ads in its entirety from 1912 by Burroughs.
Now this is cool and certainly a story I’m going to read.

It’s available now (and I think maybe has been for awhile?)
Russ Cochran is the publisher and I purchased from Amazon. Pricey (I think $35?), but for me it is worth it if I’m going to read it

This is right up my alley. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Will be checking it out and be picking up a copy.

DC Needs to re-RELEASE “Batman SHAMAN TPB”

sigh

That’s a story I’d like to read in trade format.

Anyone else loving all the golden age dc facsimiles that are coming out? They’re great!

I’m loving the foils. After paying crazy money for NYCC exclusive foils of Detective 27 and Action 1 I’m more than happy to pay $6.99 or whatever for a Detective 358 or Batman #1.

I find these stories better than just about all new stories coming out each week.

Yeah, as a foil lover they’re terrific.
