That is incredibly dumb. Surely you can’t be the only customer who was turned off by that.
They did it last year too…so I was hoping they learned a lesson.
Nope.
Apparently the spider-man 2 book has the first appearance of that games universe of the Hood, lameeee
The Hood has had some good stories!
Does anyone know if this book has something special about how it was solicited or where it’s available?
It’s not listed on the Fcbd site…
It was a promotional freebie for the game, separate from FCBD
The comic is a nothing burger. Just read it. No spec. The pages are on Twitter, if you want to read it.
But who got the book? Where did it come from?
Fans in the US can visit a participating comic book store or download the comic digitally on the Marvel Unlimited app* or Marvel.com starting on May 6.
Not sure what the criteria was to be “Participating”. Did every shop get them who order Free Books? How many were even allocated to each shop?
If so, they’re probably still in the box behind the counter, guarded by an employee, awaiting the moment they get “rotated” onto the counter.
Wasn’t planning on reading it.
More and more listings for that book are popping up on Ebay…
Since we are on the hype train, might as well buy the RUNESCAPE book too…
$10
That’s was fast.
It was sent to retailers by Penguin. Don’t know if copies went to Diamond retailers as well.
These are not rare…like any newly released FREE book.
$11.60
$11
The only rare aspect of them is that stores didn’t get to put in numbers. So stores that may typically get hundreds of Marvel FCBD titles, got 20.
I’ve also heard people got some at local GameStop’s though so who knows how many are out there.
Hmmm, sounds like some people in this thread didn’t get a copy…
I neither have a copy nor care.
