“Old timey couple spend 15 pages bickering about what thing in sky is.” No intrigue, twist, character development. By the end, I was hoping the spaceship would blast them into bits. And, the last third of the book is a different story that doesn’t transition from the main story well, and doesn’t add to the main story at all.
I’m not about yucking anyone’s yum, just don’t expect writing on par with DOT, SIKTC, Nice House. Didn’t even feel like a Tynion book to me.
Weird Previews is showing this variant is in stores on 3/8 and the rest of the covers on the date you listed. I’m sure it’s a glitch, but hoping my shop doesn’t reject my request because it’s past the glitched FOC

Blue Book is based on the true story of Betty and Barney Hill. I picked it up for that reason alone.
Betty and Barney Hill is a hella of a story. One of my close friends is addicted to the Alien world. He recently went to an Alien convention in Mexico. He has gone to the Alien mummies in Chile.
He also told me that his wife has had some incounters with them. Some very interesting stories for sure.
Interesting world we live in, thats for sure…

Sounds interesting. So many BOOM! limited series are turning into ongoing lately, I wonder if this one will too should it sell well.

Do you think Hidden Empire 5 will be the book to have when it comes to the Formatta Cage? It looks like the 1:25 is still under wraps… first cover of whomever/whatever is inside? Thoughts on who is inside? Naga Sadow? Bane? Ulic Qel Droma?

That’s their approach. Start as mini-series, see how sales do, ask creator to keep it going.
As I think this is a smart approach to test the waters with stories and ideas, I think most of the time the creators don’t originally think long term to keep an idea ongoing, so when it’s popular and they then decide to keep going, I think the stories start to lack over time, kind of them just flinging mud and seeing if it sticks. BOOM! should ask creators to write/plan mini-series (at least a story that can end after 4-6 issues) but also think of long term in case it turns into ongoing, then the stories and writing have a better chance for the long term if it’s decided to keep them going.
Ok I don’t follow comics that closely. Sort of cheesy now IMO. Still cool now
Probably one of the worst designs for costume/outfit ever… WTF is up with the shoulder pads? Talk about having blind spots, hope he has some AI tech that tells him what’s to his left or right… Geez!
Its Jeff #1 is gonna be one of those books you wish you picked up because 10-30 years from now it’s gonna make you money! Haha… I love it though!
