Hoping Chasm turns out to be cool. Gleason shows a better-looking cover on his site. I wonder which one we are going to get.
Lists Javi Fernandez as the cover artist on the TFAW site; though cover art is what Mcfarlane tweeted. Assuming Mcfarlane is correct.
Is that the Ghost-Spider or just another variation of Spider-man ?

Ben Reilly may become Chasm and then they start over with a new #1 ASM. The new series solicits say nothing about Chasm. Does he become Chasm and die in the same issue or something.
I don’t think it’s a new character I think Gleason is just letting us know he needs a chasm to store all the money he’s made off these webhead covers

But actually I bought into the book we will see like you said it’s odd we get ASM #1 reboot and Ben Reilly Spider-Man series after this but no mention of this character. Even if it’s just a first cover appearance I think it will do well with art being released late, many shops won’t go back and change their order.
Yeah, I think the cover is cool as long as we get this version below. I think the 2nd print virgin ratio is inevitable if this does well. Gleason said Marvel would not let him sell the virgin like he has been doing with his other covers.

I think we get some clues in ASM #83. I’m surprised there hasn’t been more chatter about the webhead spider appearing on the pages inside. Not just a cover gimmick anymore.

ASM 83 (Mycomicshop has them for cover price) was written and drawn by Patrick Gleason so it kinda makes sense he would introduce his own Webbed character in a book he wrote and drew.
