Evil spirits, beware, the Soul Reapers are here!
Bleach, and it’s first opening theme song, became an instant classic shortly after arriving on the anime scene. Seriously, if you haven’t heard the song, check it out. Tell me that doesn’t scream money!
Cool 2000’s rap/rock music aside, there surprisingly isn’t a lot of Bleach Funko POPs. There were a few quick small waves at the beginning, but things have been quiet Bleach-wise. However, a new exclusive is hitting stores soon, and it looks like Funko will continue the license later this year (if product rumors are to be believed).
Some of the original Bleach POPs have been heating up for a while, but it’s still not too late to get in.
The grail of the Bleach POPs, Hollow Ichigo was a 2016 Gamestop exclusive. It has ballooned in value to over $400, and it is not stopping. Some time ago, its status as “Vaulted” was removed, and everyone was speculating that a restock would happen. To date, a restock hasn’t happened, and its price continues to rise.
The common Ichigo is much more affordable. Of course, this means that it has the greatest room for growth. Spend $400 on an exclusive and hope it doubles over the next year, or spend $400 on 5 or 6 commons and hope those double in a shorter time span? Decisions, decisions.
Rukia herself has ballooned up, being the only female character from the show released thus far.
Grimmjow was supposed to have a restock, but Funko unexpectedly cancelled all orders. This made Grimmjow go from his humble $20 to the sudden $80 price tag.
Renji is the most affordable of the original wave, and he is currently not expected to have a restock (based on EE searches).
However, Renji also has an exclusive. And yes, it’s also a Gamestop exclusive!
This most likey won’t reach the same heights as Hollow Ichigo, but it can easily reach $100 soon. If you’re lucky, you could find some for $50 or so.
This version of Ichigo is the most recent one, and it’s just starting to hit stores. It is a AAA Exclusive, meaning that shops had to order it from AAA instead of Funko. You can still get some from Entertainment Earth:
These are a no brainer. As the other Ichigo POPs continue to hit insane numbers, people will gravitate to this one. You know what that means, right? This will eventually heat up. Plus, it’s also the first Chase within the Bleach line, so if you’re lucky and find one, you’ve struck Funko gold!
Whether you want to spend big on the older POPs, or get in cheap on the newer ones, you can’t go wrong with investing in the Bleach line.
