Future State TT #1 2nd print

And from my experience, a complete ghost in the wild. (TTG #23)

TTGo backissues are generally ghostsā€¦at least where I frequent. I had no shot tracking 23 down.

$4 to ship 1 comic? LOL. Midtown is nuts.

What were you expecting?

It is not cheap to mail a comic. I know a lot of people use media mail, but mailing comics via media mail is expressly prohibited by the USPS.

Looks like Midtown has just about every Future State book next week at a limit of 1. Thatā€™s interestingā€¦ they give up distribution and suddenly order conservatively?

Media mail is like $3. Then add the cost of the box youā€™re at $3. Mailers are another 50 cents. Then thereā€™s the employees you need to pay for packing them up

And donā€™t rush those people because a comic goes from NM/M to VF/NM awful quick if you slip up. Iā€™ve gotten a few with chips and folds in the cover from themā€¦

Free shipping to store for me so itā€™s a bit easier to buy one or two books.

Re: shipping comics via media mail: USPSā€™s problem is not the comic book, but the advertising in it. If it doesnā€™t have advertising, itā€™s fine. https://about.usps.com/notices/not121/not121_tech.htm

True. It is the advertising that the USPS has an issue with. The vast majority of comics have some sort of advertising though. As a practical matter, it would be difficult for a seller to implement a separate shipping policy for the comics without advertising.

Yeah. Itā€™s pricey for 1 comic but is what it is.

When itā€™s only 1 book and I canā€™t find anything else to throw in with the package to make shipping worthwhile, I just skip it and donā€™t bother.
