Having a chuckle reading through the posts on one of the DCC Facebook groups. Apparently we are “scalpers” for buying these exclusives when they drop and reselling at current market value. I prefer the term entrepreneur… yet they have no problem paying $10 for a reprint of a FCBD book that will be printed in the tens of thousands.

I never understood the hate toward flippers/scalpers and I’m just a collector. It’s the store’s fault for not limiting the items. It’s the buyers’ fault for paying inflated prices on the secondary market. I’m jealous that I didn’t get two of the covers, but I move on to the next thing instead of paying out the

You know, if I knew how big DCC was a few months ago and that the same writer was writing D’orc, I would’ve went all in on D’orc 1. Buy 10,000 copies pre-order.
I read the first two books this weekend, I can see why its popular, wish I had known about it few months ago. My informal poll of the young’uns I know (those under 20) none knew of it though, tells me that as popular as this is, it hasn’t hit critical mass yet. When a #1 does get issued, I’ll be interested.
Sold what I had before this cools off, even though I think it will come back forcefully with the possible show. Once I get my jetpack exclusives, I’ll get those sold as fast as I can lest I be holding the metaphorical bag when these cool for a bit.
Different writer… Brett Bean wrote D’orc, Matt Dinniman wrote DCC.
