I still have to watch Vol 2.
Guardians is one of the few Marvel Movies (franchises) that my wife enjoys and will sit and watch again with me (she likes Spidey as well).
We frequently quip at each other “Dance off bro” as that scene just cracks us the hell up.
So excited for this.

I have a feeling Peter Quill or Mantis will die. The holiday special set-up the relationship, volume 3 will tear it down.

Considering Gunn is moving over to DC it wouldn’t surprise me if almost everyone dies. A lot of the characters just won’t seem right if written by someone else.
Bautista has said he is getting too old to play Drax so it would not surprise me if they write him out by killing Drax in this movie.

Surely looks like this is a rocket story. His origin, and probably his death. I thought Quill would die here, but they actually show a scene in the teaser trailer where someone is carrying Quill. I can’t imagine they’d show his death in a trailer, so that feels like a misdirection. Maybe he lives now.
They have joked in the previous movies he’s got a short life span… so make sense.

I take solace in the fact that with a multiverse, anyone can theoretically come back. Cast loyalty to James Gunn and expiring contracts are another story.

I did the Guardians ride at Epcot today. It was so well done and great to see the cast.
