…and that is Adams at his best. Great composition and great execution!
I saw that one while doing the monthly catalog review. Some good things coming out.
Why would she be maskless there? How does her hair defy gravity? So many questions left unanswered……
No the biggest question is are people going to believe this cover is worth $30 on the secondary market like AWW 15? Or will it be cover price like all his other covers.
It’s worth what people are willing to spend on them…
We will have to agree to disagree. I’m not sure most people paying secondary market prices even know why they are paying that much. It’s just blind fomo. So I guess the better question is, are fomo buys reflective of a books actual worth?
Because people are stupid and stupid when it comes to spending money. This site is very pro on “buy low, sell high” and if you missed out, wait for the next one that jumps.
There’s plenty of other factors why people overspend on items, could be due to their location and eBay is the only place they can reasonably find or buy the item. They’re too lazy to search online stores that might be selling them for cheaper or even retail. And yes, we now live in a world of FOMO when it comes to collectibles. People are impatient, we live in a world of Amazon thinking, must have it now and if it’s not shipped 2 seconds after purchasing, they lose their minds…
The members here are mostly here to help others find deals and then report what’s selling higher. There’s no manipulation going on here and that’s why I like CHU compared to some other sites out there doing the same thing.
Location and time are two big reason people have no problem spending on stuff.
I mentioned this prior, but after a significant delay, this releases Wednesday.
I love Mannion’s stuff so I am excited for it. Just fyi if you’re also a fan.
Like When did she become a brunette?
I think if we look hard enough we’ll find an example of someone overpaying for a book when less expensive options were readily available.
For example…someone paid $30 for this book when the same copy was available on Mercari for $25.
Also, when I originally listed this book (October 17th) it had dipped down to $15, but I’m like “I’m just going to keep it listed for $30 until it bounces back…”
Well, that day was today.
Some might say I was “manipulating the market” on 10/17…others would say I was forward thinking and patient.
I’ve bought books that were available on Midtown and other retail sites where the books were selling for $15, $20 and sometimes even higher… on eBay.
Like I said before, some people are either stupid or just plain lazy with too much money burning a hole in their pockets.
This isn’t new, and is an exclusive. But, it was $3 at one of my shops, and it’s just stunning. Carla Cohen. Had to bring it home.

I’m surprised this Red Hood 43 variant hasn’t popped yet. I think the Philip Tan variants are starting to warm a little, and this feels like one with promise. Late in the run, so print run was probably pretty low.
I think any of the good looking variants from issues 40 on feel like winners. Popular + well done + not a ton of them out there.
I love Cho art
