So, as predicted, that Boom Store exclusive we are all waiting for is a SDCC exclusive.

$40… That pays a month worth of cell phone for the kiddos… I’ll just skip them all!

Of course they did. Are you surprised by FOMO!'s tactics? I’m not…

Wait how can you even get these online? On their site it just shows the books but no option to buy them so I assumed you have to be at sdcc

If it’s anything like NYCC a few years back, they’ll all be sold out prior to the floor being opened to the general audience anyways. You’ll find them at the local retailer booths for double the amount as BOOM! sold all their exclusives to retailers who had floor access prior to the public access… it was some bullshit to be honest, most publisher booths were already ā€œsold outā€ while being the first one there on Day 1 right at opening… then to find them at retailer booths. I think the rules should be, no sales until floor is open to all. But you know, the people running the conventions don’t give two shits about the actual user experience.

Anyone know the requirements to meet for the unlockable variant?

Order a min of 1 copy of the other covers. Its a one-per-store variant

Grim #3 (Cover D - 10 Copy Ward Variant) - still in stock at TFAW.

Also Grim #3 (2nd Ptg Flaviano) is now available.

I’m still riding the Grim train, although issue 3 was a little meh IMO. At two shops near open, I only saw one copy of the FOC variant. Love the 1:10.

FOC is where it’s at.

Didn’t see one copy today myself. My shop has really cut back on shelf copies and almost never orders variants anymore.

I demand a secret variant for Grim #5. Boom, let’s go!

Throughout the series, the FOC variants are what’s giving for me. Various artists each issue.

well there trying to justify more reprints on top of more reprints …

Boom sold 450,000 copies of Big Trouble In Little China #1 in one printing.

But that was based on the greatest movie of all time, so 450,000 seems fair.
