Just got the PDF for issue one of Good Boy from the Garrett Gunn Kickstarter. I was already in just from the idea of a John Wick dog version, but man, this is fun, violent, and just what you expect. Can’t wait for issues 2 and 3.
Saw their kickstarter page. The add ons are too good not to back it up.
I’ve been rereading some of the New 52 titles. Finished Batman, now onto Action Comics. Superman/Wonder Woman next. I really love this piece of DC history!
Link?
I got the ashcan from Whatnot signed by one of the creators. Fun little comic.
I thoroughly enjoyed Sinister War. I kno it’s nobody’s favorite Spider-man run. But that was some action in this 1st issue.
Spencer’s run has been good at times. The Kindred storyline went on far too long. I have liked the book since that ended.
@Braainz
Gunn’s from my area. He was at my local shop just hanging out signing the Good Boy ashcans and such. Many of the Source Point gang are around here actually.
I can see if they have anymore copies if you like.
I’m really, really loving The Many Deaths of Laila Starr. If Daytripper, Wicked + Divine, and Sandman had a ménage à trois, this might be their collective baby.
Laila Starr is a great read.
Yeah one of my current faves. #3 was so well done. I hope everyone gives it a shot as it’s an incredibly good read.
Laila Starr been kicking ass for weeks in the reviews at this site, from both critics and users;

Yeah all my copies of Laila Starr had been sitting on the site, and just this week they all sold.
Ram V is highly underrated. I picked up the first issue but was waiting for the trade to read the rest. I knew Laila Starr would be special…
Finished reading some issues:
The Nice House on the Lake #2: Really like this title. Top notch writing, and the artwork matches it well. This has a lot of potential for a weird psycho twisted thriller.
Dark Blood #1: Meh. Not sure what the hoopla was about. It was ok. Writing was average. Story was uninspiring to me. Artwork was ok. Story mood was ok. M Maybe it picks up some steam in issue #2. Will give it another issue to win me over.
Moon knight #1: yes, please. Picking up where we left off in the last go around. Enjoyed issue #1 and can’t wait for #2. Would like to see the artwork stretch itself more and bring that classic Moonknight mood blended with the Batman gothic style.
Infinite Frontier #1: Meh. Will pass on this title. Story is not original. Characters are boring and not very well explained. Artwork was decent.
If you are reading New 52, I recommend the Batman and Robin series from that reboot. I found it to be a great read with fantastic art. It focuses on the unique father son relationship between Bruce and Damian.
I have a few hardcovers of it. I was never a big Damian Wayne fan, but it was a really good read. The silent issue still blows my mind. Thanks for the recommendation tho!!
Cullen Bunn finally got me with The Last Book You’ll Ever Read. I hope they do more black bag covers as well, because they are demonically-amazing.They show the black bags on mycomicshop.
If anyone is into audio books and specifically Audible, I got an email this week saying their big production of Sandman was free. I hadn’t read it before, so I grabbed it. The production level is FANTASTIC. Crazy good full cast, sound effects, etc. I would highly recommend it.
Apparently, that same cast is working on a part 2. Part 1 covers several volumes of books.
