I Like What I'm Reading (not spec'ing, but like actually reading)!

I mean, here’s Rook issue 5’s cover.

Compare that to some of the Marvel stuff being released.

And, Rook is on card stock with gorgeous paper, colors, and is $3.99.

Aphra will be on toilet paper and is $4.99.

Agreed, the Ghost Machine books are in such a beautiful package.

@Joe Hyde Street just keeps getting better and better too. You’ll get to meet the “Matinee Monster”!!! soon.

What is really pretty cool and exciting is the whole Ghost Machine “plan” it still in its infancy. All of these books and story are suppose to be heading towards the whole “Unnamed” over arcing story. As amazing as everything has been, it is just setting the groundwork.

Did anyone grab a copy of Sleep 1 from Image? Looks like maybe an interesting read. Zander Cannon, who I think drew and wrote it, is signing at one of my shops this Saturday. I’ll grab a signed copy or two, unless he’s charging a ton for sigs.

I do like Zander Cannon.

Haven’t read it yet, but I grabbed a copy of the Curse of Sherlee Johnson McFarlane cover. I will say, the book is gorgeous. The interiors are fantastic.

Let me know if its good…

Interesting, but as I’m not a Spawn reader, I don’t know what the hell (pun intended) is going on in this book. Probably a good read for Spawn fans, but clearly I’m missing info. I know she was in early Spawn issues, but I read those a zillion years ago.

Still. Great interior art.

I think I picked up the first 10 issues of Spawn when it came out. I don’t think I’ve read an issue since either.

I have no idea where my spawn books ended up.

I read this last night and it was a good read. I know that they released Spawn #5 this week as a 1:10 for only $5 so people can read that before Shirlee Johnson as a refresher. It’s cool that Todd is doing all of these mini series but it’s also crazy how many they have pumped out in the last year.

As much as the writing on Spawn is all over the place I still buy it and read it each month. It’s way better than 95% of the stuff that Marvel and DC releases even though it has its issues of its own.

For the Dungeon Crawler Carl fans here, I discovered that you can get the hardcovers, signed by the author, for a great price at this bookstore. I think Matt Dinniman lives in the area and signs them.

And if you aren’t reading this yet, are you even a proper geek? The audio books are fantastic. Seth McFarlane’s production company bought this to make it into a show.

I read issue #0 of Planet Death, put out by Bad Idea and I loved it. Artworks solid and the story is interesting.

I just posted a review on my blog of, “Fully Loaded,” as I enjoyed the first issue so much. Zero spec value as far as I"m aware, but a fun and edgy sci-fi read!

Finally got to read Exquisite Corpses #1. I’m partial to Tynion’s writing. It was a great read, he has set up a really good story. Looking forward to the rest.

News from the Fallout #1 was good. Great 50’s nuclear zombie tale.
