For those that like this title (or Geiger) or just well done books, the Junkyard Joe hardcover is 51% off on Amazon:
This was a surprisingly good 3-issue read by Lemiere and Nguyen. Quick, fairly light, but just really well done. And, Dustin Nguyen’s water colors throughout are so fantastic.
Dustin Nguyen is a very underrated artist me thinks…
I like his water colors. His covers always have me stopping to admire them. Especially the Batman and Robin series.
Anyone know what happened to ‘Falling in love on the path to Hell’? I thought it was a great read. They put out solicitation for issue 11 but removed it before it could be ordered. Was it cancelled or just delayed?
There was always supposed to be a break. Its coming back.
Picked up the trade paperback collection of, “Halloween Man.” It collects some of the earlier stories as the creator, Drew Edwards, has been making tales with the character for years. It was a really fun read. I just did a blog post about it, but won’t link to it as I try to link to myself as little as possible lest I seem like a relentless self-promoter. Definitely was a great book, however, and has me wanting to read more of the Halloween Man adventures that are uploaded on a site called Global Comix, which seems to host a variety of web-published stuff.
I know I saw that when it came out.
Came out years ago but just read it the other day…Dark Ages from Marvel. Good art, some cool ideas, felt like an Elseworlds version of a Marvel book. Actually felt like it could have been a little longer to give some of the concepts and new tweaks on characters some time to breathe but besides that definitely enjoyed it and would read more of it.
Damn it. I’m annoyed that Hyde Street takes forever to come out. Issue 12 finally drops today, and I’m sucked right back in. What a weird, unique story with great characters. Love it.
The A cover is a great wraparound with all of the characters. But, a question for any fellow readers. Who’s this on the back cover? Did they sneak in someone new or did I forget because this book comes out three times a damn year?
@Joe
Nobody that I recall from the series?
I can’t remember any of the Hyde Street characters that are “old” per se.
Monster is about the oldest as he was from like the 30’s/40’s (I think).
Agreed
…Hyde Street is just amazing.
Absolutely love Hyde Street. One of the best out there right now.
I love the subtle quote from one of the characters: “Hyde Street is not what you think it is.” That tease is so damn fantastic. What the hell is this place!??!
Two issues in and, “The Hab,” is already a contender for one of my favorite books for 2026. Yes, Bad Idea is prone to silly gimmicks to promote their books. That said, I’ll put up with gimmicks for a book this stellar. If the remaining three issues are as good and stick the landing, then this series will be quite the treat.
The new Matt Kindt book from them from a couple of weeks ago isnt bad either.
I liked the Deadman #1 issue and am also enjoying the new Firestorm series.
I really like Firestorm. Will never happen but he’d be cool in a flick.
