I Like What You Got! (LCS Finds)

I wouldn’t say it was steady except maybe very slowly before this season of Mando. It literally doubled and tripled in the week following episode 1 this season. I’ve had this book in my saved search for over a year. I didn’t think it was that significant as there is no first appearance. Fell asleep at the wheel, I did, that week.

That Boba story is by Ron Marz as well. It’s one of my favoriteBoba one shot issues.

What’s the name of the book? Wouldn’t mind checking that book out.

Empire #28 and the story inside is called Wreckage

Looking for Darkwing Duck #1, came across these instead.

A nice homage to Batman 227. No recent sales, but lowest on eBay is $20
Right now.

That is a pretty cool cover…Was it a store exclusive?

Just a B cover…9 is an homage of Batman #9 (1940). Seems like a lot of B covers were homages.

I took advantage of my LCS pre-Black Friday sale of 50% off back issues if you spend $50 or more on your weekly pick ups. I seriously lucked out! All of this for less than $100. This doesn’t include my Wednesday pick ups.

How much did you spend on the Thanos #13? That looks like a nasty tear or crease… hopefully not too much cause I don’t think that can be pressed out.

It is a minor tear with a slight crease or color rub. I paid $75 for it. Maybe I over paid, maybe not. I saw one with a pretty nasty color rub sell on eBay for over $200.

I didn’t buy this to flip it. I may sell it one day. This is a fairly rare book and over all I am happy.

As long as you’re happy… but a rub vs tear, I myself wouldn’t have bought it.

I understand completely, and I almost passed… but figured what the hell I will take a stab at it. I might not see one again for a long time. I have enough rewards cash on my CC that the purchase is basically free to me anyway.

Just for S&Gs, this sold on eBay for $280. I know mine has a tear/crease, but I would argue these color rubs are more offensive and distracting than the tear on my copy.

I guess it depends on the person/buyer/owner. Depending on the ink rub or blemish, some aren’t so bad. I’d still take a blemish over a physical tear though… especially tears that are noticeable with color breaks on the cover… inside pages, maybe a little more forgiving but cover, meh…

But that blemish/color rubbing is pretty awful as well, I wouldn’t have spent $280 on that. You’d have to pay me $280 to take it off your hands…

Hmmmm…Well, if un-graded very fine looking copies are going close to $300 and un-graded Near Mint copies go for close to $600 I would say you bought it at a good price. Looks like there is some other wear on it but overall still looks nice. Even if it is a Fine 6.0 I would think if graded and encapsulated you could turn a good profit.

That is sound logic, and a great reason to buy comics, imo. That book is indeed fairly rare for a recent modern.

Great score on that Batman 96 and HA3 variants! Is that the Spider-Woman 1:100 or just a similar cover?

The Batman 96 was $8 and the HA 3 was $10 after discount so had to jump on those.

The Spider-Woman is the normal trade dress, the 1:100 is the same but a virgin cover, my LCS didn’t order nearly enough to get a 1:100 though.
