Hit my honey hole antique shop again. They tend to restock about every 2 months.
Nothing mind blowing but everything is either at $1 or $2 apiece and if I ever see a book priced higher they give it for $2 as well since I buy a bunch.
Was particularly happy with the Green Lantern #20. The Final Crisis was done up as a set for $20, but can’t beat that price. The book has some spine ticks (#7) but still an easy flip now or a better hold.
I love older horror & nothing beats a St. Francis comic.
Great thing is the books they carry are always in great condition.

I bet they get their books from estate sales and such. Books tucked away before the owner passes on and such. Family just offloads it all to antique shops and such.

That Weird War Tales is a little gem for me. I buy them all the time when I find them in great condition. Can’t go wrong with 1st Walt Simonson published artwork.
Stuff I grabbed today, I’ve finished volume 2 and 3 of Batman so now I’m slowly filling in volume 1 until it gets to expensive.

you ever walk into a comic book shop you never been to and feel like yr robbing the place on your way out? that happened to me this morning, all comics at cover or below ratio… Imma go make sure my front door is locked after i stop pinching myself. “today was a good day”

Fun and unexpected haul. Noticed a very large scale gaming centered store mentioned comics as sort of a byline on FB. I called and they said they had a few boxes of comics as well as some newer comics a customer brought in.
Figured I’d make the stop. Was well worth it! Paid $50 total for the lot. All were perfect. Thought it was funny that the Moon Knight was from Midtown even. The randomness was cool with these.

i dont make the rules! i just play jazz like the lot of us. Technically its not a “one per store” its one of those Boom percentage requirement deals “unlocked incentive”, im not sure if some got stores got multiples or it was just a fluke.
One of those would make a great CHU giveaway…

I have been slowing down on buying that many comics the past few months. I plan on selling off my hoard of comics over time and then start gathering comics again after I retire. I am budgeting myself to a $100 a month or less for new comics starting next month. Before I lock my wallet I had been meaning to stop by two comic stores that I never went to. One opened up last year. So today was the day to make the trip. I was hoping to find some hidden treasures or deals. I stuck out in both places, they had some nice comics but I could have gotten them cheaper on eBay. I started heading home and remembered an antique mall that was on the way to my house. I had stopped by there last month. One action figure dealer told me that he was moving to another bigger spot in the mall. He said he was going to bring in some comics. This is what I got today for $200. Most will go to my PC, some I will sell after I get them graded. They all look like they are 9.6 or better. A few I am going to get pressed. Not bad for my last hurrah.

I found a Yara WW 1st print in a Walmart pack last week. I have at least 5 now.

Sweet! I used to pickup the DC giants at Walmart, but I could never find the packs. I think someone gets the heads-up when they are stocked.

My Walmart quit carrying comics and cards last time I went there. Whole shelf gone.
I really didn’t pick up to many of the DC packs but while I was looking for the new Marvel packs I stumbled across the WW one. It was 1st comic.
Stopped by a honey hole today. All books were $5 or less except for the Eternals…which I forgot to put back and was in a rush and didnt realize i bought it ($12).
Suddenly this book has gotten hot (MCP 117). Didn’t realize they were newsstands until I got home.

I saw this at one of the shops I stopped by and it was price at $30. A hard pass for me…

@D-Rog Great snags! I love that GR finale…not an easy find. Texiera is a fave of mine.
One of the downsides to those MCPs is both sides typically have such cool art.
