I used to own a 5th print which was worth nothing for years. Plus later printings of most of the early books. Never thought they’d be worth anything. So sold them all for pennies on the dollar many years ago.

Nice, awesome find. I bet you were excited. I still have some of my turtle books. I can’t find them at the moment. They are stored in a box with about 12 other comics. These were the ones I purchased as a teenager. The last time I saw them was a few years ago before I started collecting again. I hope to find them this spring when I finish going through all of my stuff. I want to get them pressed and maybe graded one day.
I’m saying there are so few first prints and they cost so much that second might as well be first for the majority of collectors.

what an incredible find. You think it can grade a cgc 9.0?
No. Too many little defects. Just too many little scuffs and little spine ticks. The book probably shows like 9.0 because the defects are so tiny and spaced out…but after the grader tallies them all up I’m thinking 8.5 at best.
But the good thing is that since it’s not in that 9.0+ I don’t have much concern handling this r and reading it (like it was intended!). That’s the beauty of the mid grade keys.

Two very inexpensive books I snagged along with new comics today ($3 apiece).
Spotlight is pretty fun & relevant right now. Kingpin is a great series and doesn’t get enough love.

Mando Season 2 Wal Mart exclusive vinyl. I’m happy to add this to my Season 1 vinyl. I hope they keep producing these.

Super excited about this digging haul. I’ve been looking for that Ghost Rider book forever.
The Bolland Elvira book is also sooo good.
I paid $5 for those 2 books! (And they are in beautiful shape).
The rest are just good spec, great books that I paid very little for.

These are easy pick-ups for me at $1 in high grade. Some day these will be easy flips for $15+.

Little gaming store that does new comics and very limited back issues. I was very happy. This series continues to do well on the aftermarket. Not all that easy to find back issues either. Nothing was over $4.

Well, one final haul of 2021…
1st stop & picture is a little antique store that restocks every few months. Everything is $1 or $2. Especially happy with that final issue of Spidey 2099.
The rest of the pics are from two different stores I visited. I know folks laugh at Sleepwalker, but those final issues are crazy hard to find. I paid $150 for everything pictured which I was super happy with. That Thor is a pretty rough copy but is just a great book with even more potential. I won’t pass up cheap Miller Kingpin stuff either. Swordmaster #9 is another tough book to find. The 1st Blackheart in Daredevil is really creeping up on price too.
