Yeah, I looked for SEBNW2…didn’t find it. SW19 I didn’t know about…they probably had a copy.

Will look Wednesday when I go back.

DRog’s “random” pulls are not so random huh. take notes on the side

Bounty hunters gotta do what a bounty hunter does. I don’t ask why someone wants to buy them. That’s not my concern.

I can sell them warm….or I can sell them cold.

I prefer to sell them when they’re HOT though.

New pics! Some recent pickups all cover price or less. FF 272 was $2, Viz and Hawkeyes were free because my LCS is awesome!

Your LcS must not get many customers buying new books or in the know. Many of these should have been long gone.

Oh he knows lol. Usually the store is flooded with calls on the day of release so he knows what’s hot. Sometimes I get lucky like the NTT’s and Dead Day that customers have not sniffed it out yet. He knew Black Panther was scorching hot. I have a good relationship with him and staff as I normally pick up other random stuff that I like when I’m there. Key is to have a good relationship with your LCS.

Forgot to mention there’s a Walmart 3 pack in there that I grabbed the Moon Knight 3 covers. My Walmart had a stack of these comics and if the Moon Knights are still there it looks like the customers in the know haven’t gone through them yet. So I’ll head back and see what I can find later, new Walmart honey hole.

Walked into a shop today and they immediately told me if I spend over $50, I get 50% off. Well that’s easy I thought to myself!

$2 each except for the Spider-Man book

Was looking for the regular 1st or 2nd print. Came across the NYCC Breakfast Variant for $6!

Nice mid grade copy. Probably over paid by $50 but thought there may not be another opportunity to get it at a low price point again. Regardless, I’m happy I grabbed it for the PC.

You didn’t overpay. You just paid tomorrow’s price today!

If you find a book you want and you know it’s just going to likely rise in value by the next time you come across it….pay that little extra.

In the end it’s really what it’s worth to you if it’s for the PC.

I’ve “overpaid” for personal “grails” ASM 238, 300, UF4, FF49 and the list goes on. Now they sell 2x-4x what I paid a few years back.

Great book! Congrats!

Is this the first hulk vs. Thor “battle”?

First battles with the hulk ARE a thing. I consider them keys.

That’s what I was thinking. If the “1st Battle” is a thing now, this is as good as it gets with 2 top-tier Marvel rockstars. Plus, this is just a cool book to have, checks all the boxes. $325, too much? I’m not really regretting.

I think if you got a 5.0 or better you are good to go!

Don’t look back if you like it. Enjoy!

I think first battles of classic characters in the silver age with Hulk is a thing. We should all agree. Maybe even group Thing in (and first Hulk/Thing is also a thing).

Thing.

My first shop at the LCS in the UK, found a few decent books.

I kind of think that “1st battle” is becoming a think because the first appearances are too expensive. People migrate to the next “1st something” book.

Not saying they aren’t cool books, but key? I’m not sure. What affect did the the fight have on the mythos of the character or the Marvel Universe as a whole? I’d argue that Infinity Gauntlet, Secret Wars, Annihilation have had greater impacts on characters and the universe.

Welcome to the UK!

It’s kinda always been a thing when classic comic characters meet up for the first time. Heck look at The Thing & Hulk Battles over the years and those are keys to a lot of people including myself.

I do always enjoy when Grimm and Hulk duke it out.
