I Like What You Got! (LCS Finds)

Went hunting today and found some good stuff I’ve been after.

Out of town for the weekend. Picked these up.

I grab the Middleton Black Manta any time I see it. Sells well. BM Eternal 42 is first Bluebird cover. $3 each.

Sups were $1 except for issue 8, which I “think” is the first Kent/Damian meeting…or maybe first as superbly/robin. That was $3.

Also picked these up as well.

Maybe when Love and Thunder comes out Thunderstrike will heat up again.

I think the DV6 was priced before the release of the trailer as it’s a NM copy…front is immaculate but back spine has the dreaded marvel rub. Going to try to move my VF/NM copy now to pay for the upgrade.

Some fresh new pickups. All cover price, really happy with the HRs

Some more from not my usual shop. Asm 567, DD 310, and spectacular spiderman 244 were all 3 bucks.

Quiet week.

Grabbed the two in the left. Liked the Aphra cover, not a spec move.

The HR10B I could not find a copy anywhere on day of release…had a few online orders cancelled. Finally got one to ship me a copy.

I found a Solo 1 Wal Mart variant just hanging out in the wild. I said “hold on a tick! This logo’s yellow!” The LCS owner said, “oh yeah! That’s a Wal mart variant! Nice find!”

A couple more finds in the bins. Happy with the 1:25s, especially the Tie Fighter Putri variant. Also happy with the SW15 second print.

Man you find good stuff at your LCS…the one over by us is so disorganized and I really hate going in there. The big one here in Houston is on top of their game and almost always have the good stuff on the wall. Hard to dig to find deals there unless its right after some news breaks.

My LCS owner is dumping his personal Star Wars collection into the bins. So I’m scooping them up into my personal collection.

Why don’t you tell him to dump them in the drunk wooky bin first? Save time.

If he’s annotating them (the labels), he seems pretty organized. The prices also are great.

He’s pretty organized. Just puts out great prices on stuff. He has a bunch of the sketch variants from Star Wars vol. 1 priced at $50. When they go on 50% quarterly sale, they’re a good deal. I’ll probably pick up #4 next week when he does his sale.

It is interesting to see many of your posts as variant covers are just something I never, ever see in my area in terms of back issue stock/books that are just readily available.
If there are variants, they are typically in a special variant back issue box and they are always priced far too high to begin with.
Speaking of the 4-5 shops I frequently visit anyway.

Some $1 bin goodies, nothing crazy but the 1st Mr Knight costume Secret Avengers 19 was a cool find. Finally nabbed the Doom Zombie cover, I always liked it and missed it when it came out. I like the 10 issue run as sleepers (kinda are already). The Thunderbolts 154 was a nice surprise, who doesn’t love Adams work?

I accidentally shipped my last copy of Secret Avengers 19 instead of another book to a buyer. I corrected the error plus some extra compensation but he never sent me my book back even though he said he would. :disappointed:

Nice grab on the Star Wars Aja variant too!

A quick read of issue 21 instantly reminded me that SIKTC is far better than HOS, in my opinion. Glad it’s back.
