I often feel my finds aren’t that wild, but this one is a story I thought would be worth telling. I was at Vintage Stock and they had, “Ultimate Comics All-New Spider-Man,” which is the one that has the second appearance of Miles Morales. It was in the case for $100 and maybe in 7.0 shape. I then noticed something that took it from, “Pass,” to, “I must buy now.” It was a newsstand. Those are like a needle in a haystack. I snatched it up and sold it in a comic group that same day.

Last summer, which I’ve always believe is prime buying time (especially around the 4th), I picked up that Lee Thor #705 in 9.8 for $135 in an auction. Couldn’t believe it.

I’m back from vacation. Only had time to stop in one shop. Forget the name, but it was really clean, super organized, and everything was priced at 200% or more of a normal LCS.

I’ll take a messy and disorganized shop where everything is dirt cheap and gems can be found with some digging anyway over one that’s organized but overpriced! Sorry you had to deal with that.

Less of a find and more of a request to keep an eye out that bore fruit. My LCS buys collections and a recent collection had a copy of Venom 3 in it.
I ended up paying $46 after tax. Not too bad IMO and since I collect Cates’ Marvel works it also fits in my PC.
I also snagged the first appearance of Mr. Bloom for $2.99 (oddly enough I didn’t already own it).
Lastly, it’s not the foil 1:25 but I did get cover E to Black Adam 2.

I was out of town with my band and hit a new shop. Found a few fun things. Spent about $30 for the following 6 books:
First White Fox, Secret Wars 2 1:25, last Moon Girl issue and a few others.

Great books to have! Like many other on here I really like the potential of White Fox. Really good character and spec potential.
Went to a small Con I saw advertised. One of the reasons I love this hobby is that even with the slimmest of pickings you can usually find “something”.
The funny thing about these books is that there was a fellow collector doing the ole box me out trick at one booth. I just moved on and came back. The books below were all $1 and I grabbed them after the pushy guy told me “nothing here, don’t waste your time”. 
I can’t tell you long I’ve tried to find that New Guardians comic. Cocaine powered super villains are the best!!!

First time bin diving after more than 2 years. Missed the feeling of digging thru all those books.
Prices are not in USD, got them all for cover or a bit lower.

Really love those Noto nostalgia/ photograph variants. Happy to have found some in the LCS.
Not a super big find, but I finally got a really clean copy of what might be my all-time favorite cover. I just love this book.

So I started pulling Venom right at the beginning
of Absolute Carnage (when I moved into town and there was an LCS nearby) but somehow I missed all of the Venom Island issues. I ended up with AC 1-5 and Venom 25-35 but not Venom 21-24??
Anyways, my LCS had this set on sale (no. I didn’t pay sticker price) and I’m glad to have it in my collection. Now I just need the first half of Cates’ run except for issue 3 which I recently purchased.
