I already saw a live action movie where Batman got it on. It was really explicit and weirdly low-budget. Hold on, I’m being informed that was what is popularly known as a, “Porn spoof.” That explains why the person selling the DVD asked for my ID and also inquired if I needed vaping accoutrements.

Won this in an ebay auction for $20. Currently my favorite show and my direct version is getting pressed and cleaned to get graded so this newsstand was a nice addition

Found these newsstands in the dollar bin. They are not close to NM. SW Tales 18 has a part of the back cover missing. But for $1…let’s just say I paid less for these than I did my morning coffee…
I got lucky today and found these for $7.50 each. I was at an antique mall and was just looking around for some things for my girlfriend. She collects Pyrex and other vintage kitchen stuff. There was a box of dishes on the floor in this one shop and next to that was a box full of paper ads, magazines and these two comics. I don’t even know why I looked in the box, it was more out of boredom. There was no other comics in the whole place. They aren’t NM, but in good enough condition for my collection. I will get the #42 pressed and graded one day.

I have been looking for the #42 for a while off and on. I almost purchased one on eBay a couple of years for around $40 but thought it was too much. Then it exploded in value and I was kicking myself since. I really have not look for many comics lately, especially new comics. I will set this up one day with some of my SW toys in some type of display.

OMG!! Great score!
I am fortunate to have bought just about every comic that I really wanted (and could afford) before rather pandemic when everything took off. I think I got SW42 in 9.2 for under $100. I would never pay $650 for the same book now!!
