Interesting Sales 💸

What a beauty! Nice little sketch by Neal Adams too. I did a product research and it looks like it was sold for $11K flat. That’s a steal.

PSA looking a lot more like CBCS, if not worse.

Quite the discount.

But to be fair, the PSA book doesn’t look all that white…

Could CGC be the luckiest company in the world?

PSA needs to be humbled a bit. They came into the hobby acting like the 800 pound gorilla by pricing their fees higher than that of CGC (without discount) right out of the gate. Makes sense that they would fail spectacularly because they poached all the same people that were running the CBCS grading service and had them run the comics division.

I still haven’t seen any PSA slabs from dealers in my area at shops and cons. I spoke to a dealer that had extensive experience dealing with PSA for cards and he told me “if you think PSA will fix all the problems that CGC had with comics, you’re out of your damn mind.”

Card are really booming for PSA and they had to halt submissions. I think they have raised the grading prices 3 times this year but submissions keep coming in. I would not be surprised if PSA decides that the expense of keeping up the comics division is not worth it and drop comics altogether in a few years or sooner.

Quite sad, PSA was the closest thing we could’ve got to competition for cgc but they’re not even close imo. This just emboldens CGC to keep doing what they’re doing with zero quality control.

Like a said about CBCS slabs, there are bargains to be had in PSA slabs.

I may have to look for an NYX 3 9.4/9.6 if they’re getting that much of a discount. Yikes!

This right here just proves most are buying slabs and not the comics inside…

My Life is Strange sales continue. Found a giant stash of them for a $1 each recently. When I was looking up prices sold found out that one of them was a NYCC variant. Previous sale for this was $114 but there weren’t many sales or many available. I listed it for $99 OBO.

A repeat buyer who’s been buying up all my Life is Strange comics made the offer so I took it since I paid so little and it’s a regular customer.

As I type this another sale for Life is Strange just came in. I’m almost positive that I underpriced this issue as I can’t find another copy of this for sale on eBay. Oh well.

Someone was asking about what things are people selling after hot 10 books and beefcakes/Moras are dried up at our shops. Keep an eye out for random issues of Life is Strange. They keep selling for me.

Amazon has been hit or miss…with a lot of big misses. If they don’t to the comic justice and the show is just “meh” prices will fall dramatically almost overnight. If the hype continues over the next couple of weeks it might be a good idea to sell soon…at least some of your stock. It would have to be “the Boys” level of popularity to really increase in price and keep going after the show is release. That’s kind of rare these days.

they’ve done the boys, fallout and invincible. hopefully the trailer is good and incels dont try there brigading crap
