I know lots of folk who like the games. “The Last of Us,” was another game with a comic tie-in to go nuclear. Not saying a coming-of-age story with some sci-fi elements will do the same, but who knows?
Didn’t sell or is it for sale? If a price is listed I imagine they still have the copy. The other thing is they also lost on eBay so if it sold check to see if it sold on eBay
It sold. It was accepting offers a few days ago.
It must have sold through MCS directly; not seeing it in eBay solds. It got plenty of talking up on the Ungraded Truth youtube show.
I have this entire run except two issues with a mix of A, B / Sub and RI covers. Sadly not this one.
If you’re missing issue 19 let me know. I got multiples of A and B if you want it for cover price + ship. I got multiples of issue 1-20 that I’ve sold for some nice profits. Looking to unload the rest sitting around.
no, it shows how much marvel ■■■■■■ up, they had a new series with new characters and they just dropped it even tho it was selling well. at some point it will get picked back up. also there are no 1st apps really in those issues.
Yeah, it’s a bit of commentary on slabbing everything, Marvel’s demise overall, and the fallout from the covid boom.
Slabbing and starting things off at a $1. I’m surprised it got as many bids as it did. I would have thought these were on no one’s radar or active searches.
Thanks man. I’m missing 46 and 55… I’ll be selling mine at some point as well
No worries. I do have issue 55. I just picked it up recently. ![]()
Not going to lie, I kinda wish things were how it was back then. It’s was fun to speculate on hot books coming out week after week. Nowadays it’s all about exclusive “limited” drops, blind bags, manufactured scarcity and scandals after scandals.
If I was a kid and just starting out now, there would be no way I would’ve ever gotten into comics with how the industry is today.

It was fun, but now is still fun. I actually prefer that we’ve moved away from speccing every dumb character and rumor and now value quality a bit more. Great covers by hot artists. Great stories like Abs Bats and Ghost Machine and Assorted Crisis Events. It feels a little more like we’re rewarding GOOD now as opposed to any internet rumor. And, it seems like more women are getting into the hobby, which seems like a good thing.
I find it interesting how Comic Books are themselves a bit niche but have these super niches within them. People who collect special likited retail variants of hot books, people who collect old newsstands, aficionados of underground comix, those who only like weird indie stuff. Then there are people who dabble and everything. There really can be something for everyone, and some sub-markets are more fun or less toxic than others.
