Trading cards also have the new digital sites where you get a single slabbed card. It is very gameified and gambling-adjacent. I see it more in the news and just read a good article about it…

Snake Eyes seems to be the Optimus Prime equivalent…
Ungraded seems to have doubled in the past week. Similar condition sales.

These raw cards (which are probably 8s) are rivaling 9.8s of the actual first appearance.
I’m looking at Marvel cards at the moment…realizing almost NONE of the characters in the impel 90s sets are actual first on card….never realized there were so many trading cards and stickers pre-1990.
I thought this was a steal. Not many of these first releases in this grade.
PAC-Man pretty much sold Atari and kicked off the at-home arcade business. Basically the Action Comics 1 of home arcadr video games historically…but clearly not financially.

Hmmm…now I see maybe some were “sealed” in plastic. I didn’t think Atari games had seals…at least I don’t remember them being that way when I was young.
It would add a premium if the seal is high (A+ or better). Here’s a 2022 sale sealers
The sticker may have something to do with it as well.
