I think Sakura has a good shot at making an impact that I bought the 1:25 of her first a while back. We’ll see.

Heh… I’ve been a big fan of the Weird World comic (the Marvel Premiere versus the Punisher mag) for awhile and I always buy a copy when I see it. I think a posted a couple in recent finds posts even.
For me, it’s because Mike Ploog is my favorite & it’s a cool early example of his amazing work.
Not that it will move the needle all that much & it’s the nature of the hobby but I enjoyed always getting them cheap versus attention brought to it lol.

I LOVE Ploog and I feel like Ploog hasn’t done a comic show in 100 years.
I remember once he was scheduled on the east coast in the 80’s I think? NADA since then.

I got Sakura’s first appearance because @Alana recommended it. Also i think her character design is awesome and she’s fun. Huge potential.

Didn’t we Establish the print run of the first true appearance was likely 250k-1M? Plus it’s not a traditional comic format and in Japanese.
True firsts can be good investments, but not always the best investment.
I prefer the Deadpool BWB4 if I’m putting my money on one book. I think it’s the winner if forced to choose.
Obviously if one can acquire both more power to them.

Interpret that what you will. I think it means he doesn’t have a shop or eBay store, or isn’t actively buying to immediately flip. Because anyone who buys multiples is thinking of selling for profit at some point.
I’m sure he still moves a book if the price is right. Who wouldn’t? I’m not going to hold that against anyone.
Not really much spec insight this week. Sometimes I just watch the videos to see what books he puts out. I’m more interested in the background than what he has to say, lol.

He doesn’t have to sell books to make money off comics… he’s doing it by other ways… Youtube videos and so on… Trust me, he’s making money from comics in some way or another and there’s nothing wrong with it.

I am into comic speculation, I buy multiple copies and don’t sell books. Nice to meet you.
I see them as an investment, but maybe I’m doing it wrong. Someday I hope to sell them, but I do not. I work too many hours to take pictures, post and ship books.
Jim has mentioned in the past that he hopes to give them to his son, but I don’t really care. All I care about is information.
