Duel #1 is selling right now because he mentioned it. Before June 3rd it is hard to find many sales.
You sure you don’t want to take back part of that statement?! You know people are going to start listing all the independents that have been adapted.

Looking at Duel #1 Sold Prices from the past 24 hours…sheep. Sheep buying Duel #1 are the 5th person holding the bag. They will loose money on this.

Well, they can but it’s rare. Most things that make it to our actual screens are around the 10% mark. 90% of shows optioned, written, produced and even filmed is estimated to be shelved and never seen. That goes across all production companies, big and small.
Maybe he should… this is old news and it does seem odd to make it a pick now after the fact!

NCBD video, he sure does spend a lot of time talking about an older book… makes it seem a bit more fishy I think myself. Geez…
Even if this does make it to our screen, the heat on these will sizzle off quickly. Indies maintaining value after they’ve debuted to screens is rare most days.

Duel? More like Drool
He’s been telling everybody how good it is for 18 months, When it 1st came out, he highlighted it in one of his videos. I bought multiple copies not because he said so, but because after reading it I thought it was a really good story… I would hope other people would do the same thing, not just buy something because someone said so… But read it and tell others, so that it sells out… The story was good and the artwork was good, so I’ve snapped up every copy I could find in the last 18 months, low print, good all round… At cover price only or less.
Yeah, I remember ordering the first two issues after reading the solicitation, but I didn’t pick up the last 2 books for some reason. The story was enjoyable, though. I’m curious to see how much people are willing to pay for #1 after this getting optioned news has started to circulate.
I picked this pre-FOC myself… mostly as a potential good read.
I also had it in my picks when it came out before I even read it, loving the concept…
And even touted the 2nd printing…

Now all of a sudden people buying it after he spent 3+ minutes talking it up in a NCBD post is beyond me… Meh! Should have paid more attention to CHU… where it was also talked about on multiple occasions!
