Kickstarters That You're Watching/Backing

A Macroverse is a little bigger than a Microverse.
And Beyond Wednesday is Thursday.

I watched it. I backed the Macroverse project. I’ll never own any of these. Granted it went longer than anticipated, I can’t wait to get them. I do wish they could have done NYCC instead of SDCC. I just think they were excited and anxious and made a poor biz decision.

I watched it. Only a few people in the chat were bit*hing and moaning about it and wanting refunds.

I thought Eben did alright and that Bryan, Jesse and Dennis did a really good job at explaining why this is a big fail - and it is - to a certain degree.

When you buy into a Kickstarter (especially more than one), you QUICKLY grasp that you are at the mercy of whomever is producing the end product. Flippers need not apply to Kickstarters. I get that we all want our purchases at the soonest possible time, but, unless you are purchasing for resale, then patience is a virtue. I’m in no rush to get my Frightening 15 Flourescent Frights set - as long as they did a great job

I’m still waiting on a Mad Wolf and Cop Ebas Collector Crate and “Ron Z” hasn’t posted an update since December. It was successfully funded on 28 Jul 2023 - LOL

You can still buy them off the Macroverse website for $125.

It’s a good show, but damn Dennis is so difficult to tolerate.

The Pre-Code Horror books? I’m on the Macroverse site and don’t see a ‘shop’

I remember when that kickstarter opened up last year…then Closed….then opened up again….and closed…then opened up again….

There will be availability to buy in as people request refunds… assuming they honor what they said in the youtube video. So if you still want these books for yourself keep watching it or contact them. Personally I steered away from it when it was offered and will steer away from anything they do in the future. I’m not into overpriced kickstarter reprints.

Since these titles are in the public domain, another publisher could come along and do their own reprints…

I can say I was trying to get Matt at Shattered Comics to do a Chamber of Chills 19 facsimile using his mosaic cover he did. We didn’t get far, even though they are public domain there are still permissions on some stuff. I gave up.

Okay, I’ve come to realize: This was a cluster beep of a Kickstarter

I’ll be more interested when these Pre-Code Horrors are in my grubby little mitts and I can determine then, whether I’m happy or not

I think a lot of people are cancelling. Shawn (Clutch) went off on those Macroverse guys last night…

He said that he had to print a minimum of 2,000 copies and he did not sound like he was willing to destroy the extra copies for issues that were “limited” to 200.

This one sounds good.

I got the first issue when it came out @A.King but was never able to find the rest.

I’m a big fan of Mike Wolfer and his, “Widow,” series. I’ll be making a post about how I’m backing this tomorrow on my blog. Wolfer is a skilled comic-maker and great guy.

Mike is a super great guy. He lives in PA and comes to Baltimore all the time.

More blind bag craziness. Vampirella.
