So after hunting long and hard for over a year this is almost everything I was able to come up with. Keep in mind I was searching when no one was and this is still all I managed, so that’s saying something.

Monsters Unleased Cover #1 was broken down into four individual covers for NYCC a few years back. That set was given out at a retailers breakfast and has an estimated giveaway run of about 50-100 copies. Not sure what they did with the rest but they are a beast to find

Monsters Unleashed #5 was the #230th best selling book of that month so makes sense the ratio goes for a good premium. Amazing to see the books that outsold it like Bettie Page. Its a great cover, could be used by Disney.

So is it Monsters Unleashed or this Totally Awesome that is the “book” to get (cameo / full)?
Prices sold are not very indicative of either being. 
Yeah I don’t think either have really jumped in price. There have been more sales of Monsters Unleashed #1, and the cheapest copies have been cleared, but no real jump in value yet. Cover A’'s of both can still be found online for around cover.
So which is the book to get? I think the appearances in Totally Awesome Hulk #3 are enough to make it the 1st appearance. CGC label on TAH 3 even notes the 1st appearance on the label, while the MU 1 label does not. That could impact value long term if people care enough.
Another factor is the print run. There are probably less copies of TAH 3 out there than MU 1. You know how marvel is with their #1’s…
All that said, the days of tv/movie news alone sparking massive jumps in value are long gone. If the show actually happens and the character is a hit, we’ll have a better idea of what the market wants. Not sure how it will play out, but it will be much easier / profitable for influencers to scoop up MU 1 out of dollar bins and pump, because there will be much more available copies out there.
