I used to get these sets for 50% off retail and would get all the SDCC & NYCC limited mini figures.
Sadly, my “insider” no longer works at Lego cos id sure be buying this minas tirith
My 12 year old is a huge Lego kid and can build any set. He got this one for Christmas and is one of the coolest sets ever.

I saw that advertised at the Lego store and thought it was cool. Can you actually turn the knob and stuff comes out?
Yes and yes. It comes with 16 minifigures (or 12 I don’t remember) and the balls. Comes with coins. You put the coin in and turn it and a mini figure comes out.

The Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise looks amazing but a bit pricey! Still pretty awesome though.

$650 - seems very reasonable 
6838 pieces… seems about right on their price point since they seem to base prices based on the amount of LEGOs in the set.
