Been waiting to see what this facsimile cover was going to look like. I think ai highlighted it at FOC.
Fudgeā¦only bought one copy. Need to call the LCS and have one put aside.
Can buy a nice copy if the original comic for the price id the Lego set.

This LEGO set is better than the damn comic if you ask meā¦

Iām confused. Iāve been out of the Lego scene for a bit. Is the Detective set a limited offering thatās not going to be sold to the public in Lego stores or via other retailers?
No. Itāll be everywhere and plentiful. Lego isnāt stupid like DC and FOC cover art tactics.
Any demand is just FOMO buying.
If Lego offered some exclusive incentive kit to go with the initial orders, that would be limited and likely the thing to buy.
Once the set is discontinued (which is usually after a few years of continuous restocking if Walmart and Target shelves) then maybe it will be a true collectible.

They do initial pre-orders. This probably usually gives them ideas of how many more to produce. Remember, theyāre making bricks, not printing pages. Much slower turn around manufacture timeā¦ but yeah, theyāre not āsold outā, they just do X amount of pre-orders usually before the next batchā¦ but these will likely be popular since the wall art is based off the comic cover and we just saw how crazy that facsimile variant went. Iām willing to bet fans of the cover want this displayed next to their comics, makes a great display Iām sureā¦
Got it. Thanks for the responses. Maybe Lego will do an initial sales incentive (small related kit?) when they initially roll it out for sale. Guess Iāll have to keep watch. 
Everyone that has that book on their wall and loves legos will buy it. Except me. I have no money for this (I say a I sift through my NYCC loot),

Iām into LEGOās but have not been buying the wall art sets myself. I guess I like my sets with a little more depth but I will say some of them are really cool.
