Yeah, it’s pretty beat up. I haven’t checked to see if it’s complete. Was concerned the seller was going to give me the old “how did that get in there?” line. But didn’t even flinch.

Went to a 2 day Con by me this past weekend. It’s crazy how COVID prices are still on the walls. I was looking for a sharp copy of 1st Nightwing (easy book to get, figured it’s in the room) and 1 dealer had it for $120 “high grade with some rust on staples”. LOL whut… $120 for that??
Anyone ever hear of Rob Griffin of Moving Pictures Comics? Great stuff but prices are through the roof for all his books. lol man… some of these dealers smh.

So… just went straight to the $1-$2 bins, here’s what I scored, some to flip and some for the PC. Roughly $125 for everything:
Transformers Incentives for $3.
Paid $15 for the Mr Monster, been collecting DS covers. Early Red Hood appearances are so undervalued. Instead of Supergirl, howabout a Red Hood or Nightwing movie? Right?
NW 106 was the last book in a $1 bin.
Rogue/Gambit I paid $10 but it’s $40-50 ish currently

1000% except they would need to build up to that. Today the current DCU doesn’t have a Robin to lead into a Nightwing/Red Hood. I don’t think we’d want those characters to suddenly appear without going through the necessary evolution.
Seems like Damian is the Robin they want, though. So likely not happening anytime soon.

understood on the Robin aspect and makes sense. They should work on that then, instead of rehashes of the same Batman vs Rogue Gallery villain movies.
I feel most of us would give good story ideas than what some of these studios are doing.

Went to this small show today. Showed up late as I had to drop my kid off somewhere. I was hoping a certain seller wa there ai bought some Nightwings from at another show
Would be there as I had put bag a big $$ book at another show.
He was, but said someone came in before me and bought out a bunch of Nightwings….
I walked away with nothing today. Beefcake is getting harder to find.
There’s always local gay bars I’m sure you can find all the beefcake one desires…

Went to a local comic show, about 90 minutes from me.
It was in a different direction I usually go for shows, so figured I may find a few books I haven’t seen in a while.
As you can see, not very successful…
A breakdown to come later…need to log these in.
Could impact getting my FOC picks out tonight.

Start out with some cheap books. Re-building my 90s Ghost Rider run after selling them several years ago. Mostly looking for high grade newsstand, but will settle for either for $1. Found the set of Lady Bullseye for $1/book.
These last three I was excited about. IG4 is a strong 9.8
Candidate and was half off. I think I paid $10 for the Surfer 44, but it looks better than my 9.4 CGC copy…so
I’ll sell my graded and keep the raw. Been wanting the hulk Where the Wild Things Are for several years…final found on one in the wild for under $5.
The recalled Red Hood was $1. Quntanna Tec was $5. Found this ABM 5 1st print for $15. I think it’s a 1:25, and I don’t have an issue 5.
Some upgrades and other PC books.
$1 books. I always grab a Turok if I see one for $1 at a show. Just as a gag.

And maybe my beat finds of the day. These three may pay for the entire day. The Heavy Metal 311 is a Quintana cover. Haunted 23 can fetch over $100 even in mid-grade.

Small show today. $6 entry. Was looking for bronze horror but no one really had any, or it was so buried I couldn’t find it in the limited time I had (about 2 hrs).
Anyway, small pile today. For a while I was thinking it was going to be a bust. Starting off with $1 finds. Early Batman Who Laughs cover appearance in Suicide Squad. Found Rom #1 loose in a $1 bin. Probably VF/NM. The Deadpool I paid $2 and was at the end (in a rush) but has a crease down the center. Oh well.
I like this Tim Sale (R.I.P.) variant of Batman (and Bat/Cat cover) and was $1. Batman 451 is one of my favorite Breyfogle covers (RIP) and is a decent 9.8 flip for $2. Under appreciated in my opinion. Quick glance has potential.
paid up for the pride nightwing ($15) but has hit $45-$50 recently. The other Nightwing was $2 but hasn’t taken off like other variants (yet?). Will hold.
Favorite find of the day. While Nightwing and beefcake has gotten tougher to find, I keep coming back to Gambit and Rogue covers. Never seen this in the wild before. Didn’t even hesitate to pay $6 (half off sticker) for this Mr & Mrs X 2nd print. Looked up later and it can fetch as high as $50 on a good day.

Glad I offloaded those Deadpool’s long ago. Think I ended up with around 5 or 6 of them and sold them for around $15 to $20 each at their peak. It’s still a cool cover though…
