Spears should release every possible cover he can and make that money. He’s not getting rich in this biz, and if he’s in demand, go full speed. I would do the same.
Now, that doesn’t mean we need to keep buying them. And, will that probably hasten his decline in popularity? Maybe. But, to be honest, his work feels a bit like a one trick pony, so I think people will get over his work soon enough regardless.

If full speed means putting out “exclusive” covers through backer kit that end up on Dynamite comics in 8 different shades of red and dropping multiple printings of comics through retailer exclusives that train track is going to run out. On the other hand if he slow played this his train could run for a long time to come.

Agreed. I don’t understand why he’s rushing to dump so many covers immediately – is it just a mini-series that’s almost done, or is Monsters meant to be ongoing? No faith anyone will stick around for future issues?

I think he said 1-8 were reprints of his Kickstarter. All new artwork/story will begin with #9.
He’s not if they’re already finished works from a few years back. It’s just easy money for him right now, using up existing art pieces… I’d be doing the same thing. I could see waiting longer between releases backfire just like dumping them all quickly onto the market… there’s just nothing else exciting going on so collectors and flippers are holding onto what’s hot and working on sales, once something else comes along, collectors get easily distracted and move on…

This is an interesting cover…two covers combined into one, and foil.
And it seems Lunar isn’t offering this…only Diamond which likely will be closing shop on 4/1…wonder if this will even ship…

Just remember to check for the Spears cover for both Rat City & Sam & Twitch.
They have been ignored for the most part and I tend to routinely still see them simply because nobody has pointed the way to them
I mean, sure…we all have known for a few months to stock up on that Deadly Gunslinger issue but it’s only recently the masses were “told” it’s “hot”.
I suppose you know this but just don’t let them fall off your list. 
I can’t bring myself to buy them. I have no faith they’ll ever be worth the hassle.
