If the raidum isotope was going critical from a split it would, but it’d happen almost instantaneously

What was the buy in on those? Did they jack up the price a shit ton? $80 for trade dress $120 for a foil??

The trade dress is sold out. It’s metal and something else.

Golden Apple are crooks and F’cknuts. Those two things explain everything else about them

I’m learning this as well. I have (2) open orders where the comics should have been delivered by now, but no such luck.

I will not be buying anything from Golden Apple moving forward

I certainly hope you get them.
But know this - if you have an issue with any of their condition(s) or damage and wish to return for either a refund or store credit; they will give you a hard time. They will provide you an essay on grading. Their customer service will get unprovoked nasty with you. They are a vile establishment. Yes, vile.

+1 to vouch for how shitty Golden Apple is

On the subject of horrible comic stores, I truly believe an LCS in my city is the WORST comic shop in the world, no hyperbole. The owner is creepy and rude and the shop is never open. Shop is 15 mins from me. I’ve lived here 20 years and only been to that shop twice, both horrible experiences. Other times the shop is closed, I’m talking about going there on a Wednesday at 2pm… closed. There’s something wrong with this dude, don’t know why someone would choose to do business this way.

These are his Google reviews, literally hundreds of 1 star ratings.

I always just assume stores like this are a front for the mafia or some drug ring.

Did I miss the shop name?

$125 buy in for the foil.

Weird, I think I paid $40? So they’re scalping their own exclusive like Massive?

Just a local shop, nothing to be concerned about.

Is this A&M comics in Miami by chance? Sounds just like this shop

It’s called Comic Land Comics and Toys, it’s in Canada.

Yeah, heard about how bad they were in the past. Their stories have travelled across the interwebz.

How can everyone know a store is terrible but it’s still in business?

Makes you wonder. I often speculate the owner(s) must have a screaming deal on their lease or building ownership. One of the oldest comic shops in the US is in Kansas City and notorious for terrible service, yet somehow still open. I’ve visited a handful of times and was always treated okay, but I may have just been lucky.

I’m 99% sure I know the shop you’re referring to but the one I’m thinking of is in Columbia Missouri. It gets mixed reviews but they’ve always been relatively pleasant whenever I’ve gone there.
