Agreed. And apparently he’s getting something lined up with Marvel now. It’s the final piece of the puzzle for him and more folks are going to seek his older work.
The only cautions, in my mind are that those sales are for covers that have a total quantity made of 10 and of 100.
Additionally, 1. They’re autographed - to my knowledge we haven’t seen him out and about at a signing and 2. There are head sketches on a bunch.
So super low quantities, a very early signing, and head sketches - the super Spears fans with money to burn will be out.
Not saying train is ended but I think to ignore what I’ve stated above is burying one’s head

I did the Mark Spears early works checklist way back before anyone else was really writing about him. It gets a lot of traffic and as of late, I am seeing an uptick in traffic on that post. Not to mention, I am seeing he early Spawn work starting to rise in price, I am thinking of Spawn 340 especially, which had been a dud, but now asking prices are in the $9 range with people watching them at that price.

Those $1,300 remarque sales are wild. You can get a larger, more detailed sketch from Jim Lee for less than that. Or published cover art from some up-and-comers.

Spawn 340 isn’t a great cover, so if it’s picking up, that’s saying something.
