I wonder when Midtown will ship their ROTLD 1 books. Hopefully it won’t be in February like the 3,000,000 books Golden Apple says they will ship.

Yeah, I’m wondering when I will see that cancellation e-mail from Golden Turd. That, or if they will just do nothing to where some people forget about it over time. Don’t get me wrong, I used to like Golden Apple, but that was a looong time ago. Whenever I would be in the area, I would make it a point to visit the store. When it was at its original location it was a pretty good place. A bit pricey but it had a lot of stuff to look at and a good selection of back issues. These days, it is at a smaller location and it just isn’t run as well as it was way back when. What can you do.

@Anthony said he had spoken with GA and the publisher had resolicited it. So I think that means it was still pre FOc when GA had it up…despite copies hitting shelves.

But I could be wrong about that’s. Either way, it sounds like it wasn’t a glitch on their end.

Was able to get some copies from the publisher when they were in stock and they have already shipped.

I got my shipping notice from Midtown for ROTLD #1.
After paying cover, plus shipping and by the time more flood the market, I should clear a whopping $2 or so.
At least the More Brains edition did extraordinarily well for me. More than a cup of coffee at McD’s

I emailed the publisher because I ordered some of the Ltd to 250 variants and they haven’t shipped.

Did you get an e-mail saying they shipped? I did.

Yes with tracking. Tracking number shows it hasn’t left.

Heresay Alert!
I saw a couple posts mentioning Spears had some issues for his work on the Living Dead series?
I have zero ability to verify this & am simply regurgitating something I’ve seen, but was curious if anyone else had heard of this?

I did find it interesting that I’ve never seen him post about the series launch/release on Instagram (at least that I’ve seen).

Not gonna name any names, but I’m friends with a comic creator who used to work with American Mythology and did not say exactly what happened but seemed to leave them on bad terms for what I could tell.

He posted the cover on insta or x saying it was out but that’s about it.

No longer here-say. Straight from the horses mouth

Starts around the 2hour 34 minute mark.

I sold one today for $15 ROTLD.

He talks about not wanting to reuse covers so these remain more collectible, but that Mumm Ra cover that was part of the Thundercats omnibus Backerkit is now being reprinted for issue #12 of Thundercats.

The more I hear from Mark Spears the more I am rooting for the guy, he seems to actually care about the collectors. Another interesting thing from the interview posted above was that Monsters #5 may be polybagged with a random trading card inserted, 90’s style.

Wow, American Mythology being scuzzy…

According to Keenspot only 666 of these were printed, YMMV of course…

That cover, just terrible. I love Spears art, but that cover…it looks like Keenspot photoshopped Spears’s Dracula on top of somebody elses cover
