Plum sauce, or Sweet n Sour. You don’t see much ‘ranch’ stuff in my neck of the Great White North.
Pountine!!
The Wife wants to make a trip up to Quebec this summer…
It’s alright… but don’t make a trip just for that!
I can’t believe you can’t find poutine in the US. You truly haven’t lived until you had some real poutine.
Umm… huh? Mine was in reference to comparing hard labor and getting paid like crap to making a lot of money in front of a computer. I do the physical stuff for fun…
We could probably say the same thing here about BBQ… come to Texas, where we have real BBQ. The crap up North doesn’t compare…
As a Northern fella, I have to absolutely agree with you. I went to Fort Worth on a business trip not long ago. Hit a really nice BBQ place. Honestly, one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. Nothing like that up here.
Now, a fresh water fish fry, from the Great Lakes straight to the pot…nobody can touch us. Walleye, Perch, & Brook Trout to die for!!!
There is a place in Vegas called Mr Fries Man. That is some serious poutine.
I was in Toronto a few years back and had Poutine. It was awesome.
That dish is so heavy! Cheese curds and french fries! We went to Montreal and had some at a brewery…beer and that was a rough combo.
I’ve received the first of these packages…I don’t see how it will reduce damages as when you drop it, the entire contents shift toward that direction and impact whatever is in front of them. So they are trying to reduce the force of impact…but the way the packages are usually thrown / dropped, I don’t see this helping as the comics are still right up against the corner and will receive the majority of the impact force.
Can you take/share pictures of the new boxes and packaging ?
I’ll see if I kept the box, we had recycling today so it might have gone out with that.
What if they just put the comics in pallet sized boxes so you can’t pick them up? Then you can’t damage them, right?
Now THAT is thinking outside the box!!!
Pun intended.
I use to drive forklifts at my brief stint at Lowes Lawn and Garden during college… that’s a horrible idea since I was never “certified” to drive one and I doubt most are.
There really is no “certification” or “card” that is considered a universal forklift drivers license. OSHA states in 1910.178 that each individual must be instructed In both a classroom and practical session, and take a test after each. The practical must also be done in their work environment to get the individual familiar with the workplace they will be driving in.
No company should take a persons “forklift license” the individual bought online or received from their previous employer as it does not tell you anything about the persons ability to drive.
That’s true. Let’s just say, when they asked me to start driving the forklift, the only training I got was… get on and move that pallet from there to there…
