Is there any way to turn off these silly updates when usps scans the item?
Like we’re to believe the buyer actually reached out to Mercari expressing their feelings about the order status….

Within a minute after listing, I get this message through mercari.
Is this legit? Never seen this before. Seems suspect.
What was words is that I did get a notification through the app that I had made a sale…if I can retrieve it I’ll post that.
Edit: can’t retrieve the notification, but it came from “SupportBot” …

I’ve gotten these messages several times and it’s always a scam. Usually, Mercari removes the message within minutes too.
I’ve had those too, where it says I made a sale, but Mercari reverse’s it seemingly automatically. This one sees to have snuck through, but it didn’t actually impact my listing.
The fact that it happened within a minute of the listing raised all sorts of flags for me…but figured I’d report it here.
It’s also gotte. 10+ “looks” since I listed…and I think my eBay listing has maybe 3 or 4 and it’s been up for 2 weeks…so that screams bots.
Had the same thing happen today. I blocked them right away and the message disappeared as well.
Yeah, it’s a scam. I immediately blocked and then Mercari deleted it.
Who are you actually blocking though?
A scammer who created an account posing as Mercari.
Need to figure out how to block a buyer in Mercari…

Just coming here to beyotch about Mercari’s website…
Just comparing to eBay from a label creation and printing…a few clicks on eBay and I can ship 9 items in seconds. Print them all at once.
Mercari…
- I have to search for link which has the link to my sales…it’s not showing obvious from the homepage…
- slow to load up…then I have to pay and print to each one individually…
- I can’t print multiple labels at one time…wasting printer paper…
- can’t combine orders if someone bought items separately…
- and if they did buy them together I can’t adjust the shipping weight (and Mercari doesn’t add them together for you…so it’s always underweight).
Unless I’m doing something wrong I’m not aware of…sooooooo annoying…takes 10x the effort for one Mercari sale as it does for multiple eBay sales.
