So a seller could remove the blank cover? Is it obvious if somebody has done this? (i.e. bent staples, etc)

Well, I think we expected the same cover inside, but is it “identical” to the cover A. For example, Marvel inside covers don’t have bar codes. So you’d have to compare this to an actual copy of cover A to know.
For now, though, I believe blanks are going for equivalent or more than cover A…so no incentive to remove it (like there is for DC absolute books).

Is the 00161 bar code on the inside cover? Or does the inside cover have a 00111 code?

Heard someone talking about Dorc blanks at the shop today. “You can just take the cover off and you have an A book.”
Ugh. Don’t do that.
To answer the question of the bar code.
I grabbed a Detective card stock issue this weekend for a dollar. It was a run filler. The cover was bent. I removed it. It’s very easy to do without messing up the tightness of the staples. If you just yank the cover off, it will mess up the staples.
If you take a razor at the corner of the staples and cut out in a line towards the center of the staples and repeat on each post of the staple you can remove the cover without disturbing the staple. From there you wiggle out the diamond that remains. Staple stays tight.
With that being said it is dishonest and I don’t advocate for this. I did it to a damaged cover for a book that is a run filler with little value.

It is not. It is printed on the blank cover. The a cover underneath literally says A cover.

Well, this could get interesting. Right now I think the blanks are desirable because people are thinking of getting sketches and remarks at upcoming cons.
Still waiting on my remaining copies…which I have 2A’s and 1B still out there. I don’t have shipping confirmations, but my credit card hasn’t been refunded either.

I read Bleeding Hearts, and while it may not be everyone’s thing, I absolutely loved it. Great art that almost reminds me of The Maxx. Great characters and development. Whether this blows up is to be determined, but it’s officially on my pull list.

I’ve been trying to find that Dekal for awhile now. Just don’t see it in the wild. Might have to get one from eBay if they are starting to move upwards…
And his Deadly Class #47 cover as well, both are on my search list for way too long.

Another day, no deliveries or incoming packages being tracked by USPS.
Sent out emails requesting a status of shipment.
It’s possible USPS hasn’t scanned them because tracking is a “luxury”….
Whoops…I mean “courtesy”…
Edit: checked UPS…nothing incoming there as well. Not good.
What If Peter Parker Became the Punisher came out that same year and sells pretty well also. The other What If one shots from that year might be work a look too.
