I have a Rook Exodus 4 just sitting there. Did find some Geiger and Redcoat #1ās first prints
Yeah, I grabbed a copy of 4, too, but that one isnāt moving as well. Not many of either on eBay though.
Looks like they are selling around:
Issue 1 - $10
2 - $15
3 - $30
4 - $20
5+ cover
#2 is first full Dire Wolf but nothing will beat the volume of appearances in #3. I also bet it was the lowest print of them all.
#2 2nd print has the Dire Wolf spotlight cover - think that one is a easy grab and stash.
What was the Absolute Superman cover people posted about ?
Ark-M is going to go the way of the annual, isnāt it? Retailers hesitant to order extra copies of a āspecialā bookā¦lots of people want the bookā¦
$30 Book in a few weeks? Maybe I should order another cover from MCSā¦
And itāll be interesting if cover C really is kingā¦since itās a child vice adult version that will likely carry forward.
Hit up three LCBS today and was able to get the following books:
Absolute Ark M #1 (Cover B, C, D)
Absolute Wonder Woman #1 Wes Craig $7
Assorted Crisis Events #2 (Cover A-3 copies, Cover B-1 copy) for cover price
Detective #1100 Cover A 2 copies cover price
Martian Manhunter #1 1st print Cover A 3 copies for cover price
Red Hood Outlaw #31 Scalera variant for cover price
Red Hood Outlaw #51 & #52 cover price
Absolute Wonder Woman #1 2nd print 1:25 2 copies for $16 each
Absolute Superman #1 2nd print 1:25 $14
Havenāt had this type of spec score in quite a while and was thrilled!
Also picked up 20 issues of Astro City (volume 3 Vertigo) for $1.00 each for the PC. Iām only 4 issues away from putting together this set and if you have never read it, I would highly recommend it. It does in 1-3 issue arcs what most series out there now canāt do nowadays. Iām always amazed that Busiek can explain new characters and their stories in such a short form in a very accessible way. Sorry to digress, but Iām starting to feel like that old man watering his lawn with a hoseā¦
Good hunting everyone!
I need up getting 2 more Ark-am specials. Grabbed some more Martian Manhunter #1. Also found some Rook Exodus 1 first prints.
Noticed the A cover to Batman 5 went quickly in my area.
I think the Leirix variant will be the winner for Batman #5. MCS already nudged up their price.
Midtown out of Ark-M main cover now.
I have Batman on my pull, so got cover A.
But my LCS had one copy of this on the shelf and it looked pretty sweet in person, so grabbed it too. Didnāt hurt that itās a 9.8 candidate. Character has manga roots so figured she may draw in more interest than other recent villains.
BTW, I think they changed the name of the character to Ojoā¦.no longer Lady Death Man.
Sales on Ark-M arenāt looking that good. Maybe 6-7 on eBay in the last three hours. Thats counting all covers.

I sold a couple over night. Seems the Rossmo cover is doing the best out of all of them. I think since it turns out the girl on the cover is not the mad hatter or Zatanna and just another version of the joker (as a long haired young boy) that one has lost some steam. Spent $100 yesterday and have almost made my money back after listing last night.
Well, 8 eBay sales in the last 6 hoursā¦mostly sets of various covers.
The vast majority of 1st day eBay sales are people who donāt have an LCS, not willing to go to an LCS, not able to go to an LCS, or their LCS is sold out.
The rest are those caught with their pants downā¦or for some reason donāt look for alternatives sites to buy. They are a significant minority, but will increase in the coming days.
Sometimes hype takes a few daysā¦but I think everyone focused on finding Cover B on day one, didnāt find itā¦and then in a fit of FOMO grabbed other covers and this made the impression those are scarce as wellā¦
So Iām sure many cleared the shelves at their LCS, or contributed to shelf clearing by buying more than 2 copiesā¦and are holding backā¦so itāll be interesting to see how this dynamic plays out.
My predictionā¦I think what weāll see is covers B-D fall out of favor in the coming weeks to Cover A as those with their pants down just want that bookā¦.and I think is aesthetically the best of all of them (personal opinion)ā¦the speculators will stop selling to each other and the market back floods as those who hoarded copies get seller FOMO and look to dump stock ASAP. Not all will, though.
I think weāre already seeing some of this regarding Cover B as interest in it seems to have stalled in favor of alternatives. It peaked around $30 and now sits if priced above $20 and seems to only be moving when paired with other coversā¦
Weāll have to revisit this later today after more sales come in. Interesting dynamic, to say the least.
I see it this way, even with AB13 and 14. Copies sell out. Even if it takes a while all covers end up moving. I have adjusted from pre-12 issues to 14 and below. I have been able to nab a few here and there and have done well selling first prints. Oddly found some third print #1 for cover. I was selling #1 8th prints like crazy. It will take time and patience.
I think itās a wise decision to buy any copies of AB # 1, regardless of the print number. That could change after print 9 or 10 hits, maybe not.
I have been. #1 sell for a premium. Except the Batman Day one. For whatever reason that has not gone up. Maybe because there are so many out there or maybe because retailers havenāt sold as many as they thought.
I was able to sell off Ark-M cover A and B as a set overnight. I thought I was a little high on the price when I went to bed but wanted to test the waters. Very happy that they sold overnight.
What we need is an absolute beefcake cover drawn by Dan Moraā¦.
