I guess I’m just a little over the old timey plots lately. The Peril of the Brutal Dark, The Thing at the Doorstep, now this… all books set in years past. They seem to get so focused on the details of the period instead of focusing on great dialogue. Nectar seems stiff as a board. Sure, that’s how they talked back then (maybe), but that doesn’t make it interesting. I was hoping Nectar’s setting was more like The Beauty, and less like Gone With The Wind.
My own personal preferences, of course.

When the dust settles, we’ll see if Absolute > Indy #1 of the week. The “three” Indy books all made KCC’s list this week. Third print All In did not make their list. The List Zombies might not pick up on All In 3rd print until it is too late for them. And yes, in the past couple weeks after the D’Orc incident, I’ve seen people at the comic shop with KCC’s keys of the week open on their phone and they are trying to get everything shown (not a great idea but they’ll learn the hard way).

I called Midtown about this last week because they had the pre-order up and they said feel free to order, in their system it is still scheduled to arrive as normal. So I ordered 5 copies. Worst case I’ll get a refund or (crossing fingers) they’ll swap them for the Suspiria since the price was the same.

Would not surprise me on the least if they don’t know, or don’t care. I have to think that many people who buy in to fomo, especially early on, don’t really learn anything from the experience.
It’s not like every week there’s a new group of buyers that have never done this before….likely same people over and over.

MCS just canceled my Nectar foils.
The blind bag foils? This might be what @TheUltimate was referring to about the entire thing being cancelled outright. If true (and it seems like it is) I bet we’ll see a lot of Nectar 1’s sold on eBay today and tomorrow as people realize they aren’t getting their foil blind bags…

Isn’t it kind of sad though that negative news drama is what makes this more exciting instead of rather awesome artwork and story telling instead? Probably why I’m kind of out and only seek out what I think is a great read along with good art. I don’t like all the other BS drama this hobby now seems to be surrounded with…
