As soon as I saw the picture, I knew it was you posting it…
Good Lord
Posting mine tonight.
I put my copy up for $25 and it sold in an hour.
Has it actually been optioned? Yes it has been by FX. I listed my CGC 9.8 and am digging out my raw copies which I’ve got to have dozens of the first issue.
Yea I posted article about option yesterday in odds and ends thread
Small victories adding up this week… you can tell the Mandalorian movie is out. Back in 2022 I CGC’d a bunch of Mando #1’s and 2’s and I listed them a few weeks before opening week. I’ve sold several now. They were pretty easy 9.8’s and back in 2022 the CGC fees were lower than today’s, so it was a gamble on some moderns that paid off. Not huge money but a decent flip. And compounding flips add up.
Has finally started moving. Had a few copies sitting for a month…then sold 2 in the last 2 days (one on eBay, another on Mercari). Holding onto my last one for now.
It’s weird how a book will sit stagnant for weeks and then suddenly move. I can only assume it was talked about online somewhere and made people aware or reminded of it.
113 and 105 selling now. Crazy.
With some of our 2025 rock star sellers getting really hard to find, I’ve been trying to find new ways to keep stuff moving.
Lately, for whatever reason, I’ve been finding a ton of Something Is Killing The Children books in dollar bins. No pricey early issues. But, I’ve been packing those up in 5-packs and selling for $30. I figure that it’s the same as buying 1 book at cover and selling for $30.
I’m trying the same with Conan (Titan) books, but I just listed those. No bites yet.
Just sold Conan 1-11 for 80. I mean I prob could a hit more, but it was sitting a sec.
Early Titan Conans do sell, but not fast. I’ve stopped picking them up. Random sales are great, but I’m less excited about books waiting around for potentially months.
I don’t mind. I sold a bundle of books that have been sitting for about a year and a half on Mercari. I play the long haul peppered with medium selling books and quick selling books.
I’ve found the same thing that a lot of the popular high selling books (Red Hood, Nightwing, Putri, Dan Mora) have dried up in my area.
That’s alright because I like a challenge.
Some new books that I’ve been actively looking for that can sell for money would the following:
-Swamp Thing 1989 #1 Cover A ($10-$20)-a great story and the packaging is 1989 throughout (ads, covers, et al)
-Lost Fantasy #3 Devil May Cry Cover B ($15-$30)-this whole series has a number of books to keep an eye out for and can sell for good money
-Batgirl #1-#5 Talaski ($15-$20 for Cover A’s)
-Various Star Wars JTC action figure comics-there are some rarer gems that I always look for like Darth Maul #1 (2017) Darth Sidious cover variant ($60), Rogue One #1 Jenn Urso ($15-$19), Tie Fighter #1 ($15-$25), Star Wars #50 Emperor cover variant ($20+), and Darth Vader #1 Anakin Skywalker variant ($15-$25)
Good hunting everyone!
What a great list. Thanks for that.
Yeah, wasn’t aware some of the JTC action figures were starting to creep up in value. I’ll need to dig mine out as I should have most of these, except maybe that Darth Maul #1 Sidious one, might of already sold long ago…
