Man, I sort of stopped paying attention but DāOrc really isnāt slowing down. Just keeps rising. I like it!!!
tynion doing beneath the trees
Grain of salt, but James from Hive Comics said Absolute Batman animated series will be announced today at HeroesCon?
Man, if soā¦can you imagine the frenzy at the con for copies on walls. Would be interesting to see the immediate reaction.
James said every copy of AB 1 vanished from the Con floor.
Sighā¦at my peak I had over 100+ copies of AB1 1st print. ![]()
The most I sold it for was $80, and that was because I had a couple copies damaged with moisture that I had forgotten about and sold them when they blew up. Most of the copies I sold were in the $15-30 range in the early beginnings ffs.
As long as you still made money itās all good.
Also the rumor was that it would be announced at the 11:30AM DC Absolute panel which has passed and no news.
Of course not
Hive Comics, Beyond Wednesdays and all their cronies like Big Clutch has now surpassed ComicTom. Didnāt think that
was possible.
an announcement like that would be made at sdcc or nycc
Absolute no shade to Heroes, but has any real industry news ever been revealed there?
yea, feels like some one was trying to pump prices again after they have started to come off the peak
Iām somewhat in tune with ABM #1 prices. Iāve sold copies anywhere from $250 to $285 since I started listing my copies. Iāve noticed the last few days the price was ticking up a bit and broke $300 again starting arounf June 9th.
I donāt think that variant will hold value. None of the other hadā¦maybe if itās kept in the poly bag with the card it may hold some value.
Sell if you can find them.
might help comic
I was at Heroes con - I didnāt attend the Absolute panel this morning but I believe the major reveal was the upcoming introduction of Absolute Batgirl.
I will say, I spent three days at the con and I was constantly shocked at how busy Scott Snyder, Nick Dragotta and Daniel Warren Johnson were. The wait times for them never dropped under two hours. And everyone was getting Absolute Batman signed - even DWJ signed more Absolute Batman Annual 1s than anything else. Lots of young readers and even kids - I talked to a bunch and none of them were interested in grading their books or chasing exclusives or even remotely concerned about values. They were fans. It has made me rethink the longevity of the title.
Whatās that?
