Modern Comics Heating Up (2026 Edition)

AI says can’t find any reason why it’s heating up, no confirmed firsts within it and stated “it’s likely being driven by speculation rather than a confirmed key first appearance.”

So my conclusion is, people seeking it out probably due to perhaps the second issue total print run dropped significantly from the first issue like usual and now people seeking them out after obtaining the first issue. That’s my guess…

Still available at Midtown for $4.50 but limit to 1 per… https://www.midtowncomics.com/product/2492829#Infernal-Hulk-2-Cover-A-Regular-Nic-Klein-Cover-Limit-1-Per-Customer

I picked up two copies of the cuppiccio variant. Lowest listed is $25, so we’ll see how it works out.

I picked up a 1st and 2nd print . Thank You

Not much is super warm at the moment, but Dead by Daylight have been selling really well. All issues from the first 4-issue series. I sold 4 in the last week, and I have a full set that’s got a ton of views.

Looking in my personal $1 bin…which is mostly books I got for free or in multipacks…I was looking for another comic that was getting some attention to possibly list, and came across this. JSC variant.

I’m pretty sure it was an extra in a Walmart pack from Covid times.

This is like reaching in your coat pocket and pulling out $20. Score!

I noticed there is a slight indent down the center of the cover…that explains it if it was once in a polybag.

Someone was talking about the slowdown in sales lately. Ironically I was away Wednesday through today and sold a crap load of books. I hate stuff selling when I am away.

That’s what vacation mode is for…

Isn’t that a feature if you pay for it though?

I don’t think so, they may call it something different, like time away or something.

It does appear to be free now. I once recall the “vacation” mode they once had was only for those who were paying for ab eBay store to get the feature… good to know now!

You have to have a paid store for that. I sold books on both eBay and Mercari.

It’s “Time Away”. I just used it the second week of June when my family and I went on a week’s vacation. You have two options. One is you can allow sales to occur and there will be a message at the top of your listings that you are away until a certain date. Ideally, the buyer is not an idiot and understands that if they purchase the item it won’t ship until you return. The other option is the listing is still active but nobody can complete the purchase. The listing shows how long you will be gone for and tells the viewer to add it to their watch list and buy it when you return. I chose option two this time because in years past, I’ve had people buy stuff and then message me about why it hadn’t shipped yet (duh, read the time away message that clearly says the seller is away until xxxx). Both options are free.

Yeah, it was one of the main reasons I did the store subscription. I was traveling a ton for work but had a ton of books I wanted to sell, so it made sense at the time. I’ve kept the store for the discounts, but I should really check the cost benefit again now that the Vacation mode is free.

I need to look into it.
