Scott Snyder will serve as executive producer and showrunner, with Dragotta as producer.
Curious how they’re going to pull this off and not have the comic suffer. Dragotta’s producer credit could be mostly for financial participation, and he can tag team with other artists as he has been. Snyder, though – “showrunner” sounds like more of a time commitment than just consulting. I wonder how far ahead he’s written.
I’d say that this is high on their priority list regardless of their other duties. If this show works out well, it opens DC’s doors to future mega bucks (live action TV/movies, more interest in all Absolute titles, etc.).
Lots of up-front work in order to ease the back end once/if the show is a hit. Snyder/Dragotta know what they have in print and what they want on screen so it’s vital to have them have a huge role at the beginning.
I’m sure there are a lot of sleepless night ahead of them for now
If you’re watching the new Supergirl movie at AMC via IMAX, they’re giving out free copies of Woman Of Tomorrow reprint AMC/IMAX exclusive variant cover which is the same cover as Justice League #24 Evely variant. This version is selling for $16-$25 range on ebay.
I only had a couple, but I sold all of my early issues a few months back. Think I got $150 for my 1s.
Are you all buying any non-modern (and I mean last few years) spec books? I get buying OLD books, but I’ve almost entirely stopped looking at at anything 1980s-2010. Maybe 70s and 80s Batman, but just because I collect those.
Only thing I keep stocking up on is Todd McFarlane ASam, Spider-Man (newsstands) and Incredible Hulk in high-high grade when I find them for a good price.
And Star Trek TNG mini series from 1988 as they are pretty rare in 9.8. At least in the census.
That’s pretty much it other than PC books.
For Modern looking for any Nightwing variants between issues 80 and 120 as most are hot…many have been creeping up.
