Just a few quick observations regarding Absolute Batman. Since the animated series annoucement, things are getting crazy for prices.
Everyone knows that #1 Cover A 1st prints are now in the $325-$350 range, but some other rarer books from the run are starting pop:
#1 2nd print 1:25 was in the $75-$100, now current auction is over $200 and asking for $350+
#1 3rd print 1:25 completed sales in the $300-$500
#1 4th print 1:25 was $60-$80 now in the $100+ range
#1 5th print 1:25 was $50-$100, now current auction is $386+
#2 2nd print 1:25 is a $400 book with sales
#4 2nd print 1:25 was a $200 book and I believe the smallest print run, now has asking prices in he $350+ range
#10 Cover A 1st print is now $80-$100
Even with the heat, deals can be found. I was at a local shop today and they had a stack of 1st prints behind the counter and was able to get a #10 Cover A 1st print for $30 and #11 Cover A 1st print for $25. I had a feeling they had been sitting up there for awhile and the shop owner hadn’t heard the news on the animated series.
Another book that is surprising for me considering how new it is, is everyone’s independent darling; D’Orc #1 Cover A 1st prints. These were selling in the $80 range on release week and then the hype went on to the next week’s book. Now seeing closed sales in the $100+ range and when I checked Ebay, there were like only 6-8 available to purchase. While other books have come down (White Sky, Nectar) this hasn’t. Was able to get a copy this week for $60 and gonna put it in the box to see where it is in the next 3 months.
Anyone have any of these types of books on their radar? Not necessarily a quick flip or long term key, but something in between?

I also left out the Jim Lee 1:100 sketch variant. Although 1:100 typically don’t do as much in terms of return as 1:25’s, this was a $300-$400 raw, but now they have dried up and people I expect this to be $600-$800 with the way other things are moving.
